I review and discuss cars from across the ages, with videos on everything from mobile scrap heaps to the latest supercar. If you have a vehicle you think would be of interest and you'd like to see it featured, you can email me on talk@jayemm.com
After seeing the Countach for the 1st time in the movie "Cannonball Run", I loved it. But when I seen the Dodge Viper, for the 1st time, it took over... But still have fun watching the Countach!!!
This guy doesn’t realise that he’s reviewing a car which was made over 40 years ago. I bought a 1.6 Capri in black in 1982 because it was the coolest car that I could afford. I believe I paid around £4,500 for it. I didn’t buy it for speed or performance, I bought it because of looks. Even Bodie and Doyle had one. What’s cooler than that. I was 30 and it was the first car I had bought new. I even fitted Pirelli P3 tyres all round. The hatchback and folding seats were very useful and I loved the car, in fact I still do even with its limitations. It would certainly be on my collectors list if I were in that league.
I owned one, as Chris Harris was told, don't buy one everything brakes, I wish I had seen that before I bought one everything did, Now Own an Evora 400
I saw one of these, in this spec, in 1995 in Regents Park during my first visit to London. I’ve wanted once since. I feel I waited too long, the prices have really gone up.
James ... you're just getting better and better, man. Thank you. Great insights, deep knowledge and thoughtful perspective. I had 4x 328 GTS's, which were beautiful, got more valuable by the day, and never cost me a penny. But they were delicate, difficult and .. outrun by my Oettinger Golf! While I accept the 456 was the first sign of Luca, the F355, in my view, was when they hit the sweetspot. I had one for a few years and annoyed with myself that I sold it. Get the pre airbag wheel, it's much nicer. Thank you, Sir. Great channel. Could you .. pls dive into 928 S4's?
More common than suburbans would be trailblazer/envoy/bravada. Indestructible 4 wheel drive hauling machines. Suburbans/Acadia are not as respectable. We all see them as oversized and under utilized. We are all slaves (literally and figuratively) to a culture that is obsessed with success. Big trucks represent that. Frankly it disgusts me. Few can afford it. The rest just go into debit or do without. Squarely in the do without category. To bad that also includes health care. Home ownership. Vacations, oh or savings. Been a general manager for dominos. A semi chassis technician, and fabricator/welder. None of these paid even 20$ an hour. To me those suburbans represent everything wrong with this country
6:59 yeah we don’t really notice one vehicle I do notice is the ford excursion I’ve aways wanted one seats 9 people but so far I got the pickup truck version of it
I have always loved the look of the Ferrari 456, it used to grace the intro of old Top Gear. I still have a bone to pick with the Car Trek trio for likening its looks to the Ford Probe!
The hand hitting the windscreen part made me laugh out loud. I showed the family and they laughed also. Just like they laugh at me when I try to wave at someone while driving my 944. I get denied by the glass every time.
No worries for me watching your channel. I don't have any money and drive a 17 year old Focus on 15 inch wheels. I thought Luca was rather weird in wanting front engined V12s and mid-engined V8s but it has turned out rather well. He was right, I was wrong.
I have to disagree…… I prefer the looks of the 456 over the 550 or for that matter, the 575……. although I’ve never got the V12 bug - well, apart from a Merlin/Meteor or DB605 - or, back in the 2010’s the utterly bonkers Q7 6.0 litre V12 Tdi. I did fall head over heels for a 1979 400 in grey, with oxblood interior - we picked it up on a lorry in London’s West End and took it to Matlock. I sat in it for a short while just drinking in the opulence 🙂 I know it’s a bit safe and predictable, but I’m going to stick with my flat six in the boot and it’s wet Hans Mezger heritage……. 🏁 Postscript: Can’t hear the words “four - five - six” without conjuring up the terrifying Torchwood from 2009 with Children of Earth…….. where the Alien beings were species 456 and the gayest man in the village, John Barrowman tore up the screen 🎉 if you haven’t, you should ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you would like to review my 5.7L dinan tuned 2007 M5, I will be in England in July. I know this is a little late notice. But I'd be happy to see if we can work something out. We flew the car over here to Europe for our summer holiday. Let me know how I should contact you.
