I've tried all types of clothes on my wife, Sylja, and I gotta say that most of them are hideous. I wouldn't put them on my enemy, let alone my wife. Right now I'm kinda torn between Tavern clothes, Nocturnal's dress and Fur Cloak worn by the nobles. The problem is the latter looks awesome on Sylja, but completely flattens her hips. She looks regal though, I like it, more so with an emerald circlet. Tavern clothes look fine, but I don't want Dragonborn's wife to be confused with a barmaid. She lives in a castle ffs. Nocturnal's dress is sexy af, I like seeing her walk in it around the house, but it looks plasticky when she sits down, and it is not for the outside because of the clime and of all the thirsty dudes around the city. I think I'll go with the Fur Cloak for now. The shoes though, I can't even. It's so hard to find footwear that doesn't look like beggar's choice.

Skyrim is more aligned with Viking culture with everyone dressing like they belong in the 800s. The Kingdom of Skyrim itself also has a Jarl or Thane system in where each lord rules over a certain district in Skyrim. The game is also very similar to that of the Western Roman Empire with how the Imperials dress, mainly in centurion or legionarie armor. The game also has some medieval Arabic clothing with what the Redguards were wearing in Skyrim, which is a bit similar to how people dressed during the reign of the Abbasid Caliphate. Also, do you think that Elder Scrolls 6 will take place in the Kingdom of Hammerfell?
Oblivion is one of the more traditional medieval RPGs due to how everyone in the heartlands of the Cyrodillic Empire dresses like they’re in medieval European. The game does have a Japanese feel with the Blades wearing samurai armor as well as carrying katanas and nodachis to battle. Plus a lot of counties with Cyrodiil do have castles with a very similar feudal system.
Morrowind’s clothing design is a bit similar to both middle eastern culture and a bit of medieval European culture will maintaining that other worldly look due how alien looking the Kingdom of Morrowind is.

I have lined the floor under my hammok in my stolen shack with the blank item(s), Paper. .... Lanterns on corners so I can jump around Seda Neen at night. .... skulls outside next to my OH ONE shack has candles instead of lanterns. ROFL.. .. .. . oh and I have over 50 pieces of Bread in a barrel. ... ... :-D .. ... You can have 3 of those shacks easy peazy did you Realize that?
I have spare Alchemy Set parts around outside of Grandmasters Shack, as, decoration, too, heh .... ^-^ ... . You should really get that Bearclaw helm, too. And "Cuiras of the Saviors Hide" is also "G. G.", yooo, for sure.. And of course that sword that then you have to survive the vampire quest to get Eltonbrand.
Oh no I decorate with those. I have hauled several of those big COG WHEELS out of the ruins hahahaha. A SKULL sits in middle of those cogs nicely btw. Scrap metal by the load that is alchemy ingredient. .... .. And the Dwemer Mugs and I found a Pitcher once also
