8:03 So she starts with Out-Phase Parallel in this riff, then at 8:25 switches to Out-Phase Series while still doing the same riff? Is that correct? Because they sound the same to me.
Always nice to see woman playing guitar, even MORE wonderful is that you're tech oriented. How did that start for you? I have two regrets, (1) I never mentioned in the personals that I wanted to meet someone who played guitar or bass, (2) that I wanted to meet someone who played guitar or bass, and was into Cosplay at comic conventions. *sigh
I was so frustrated with the six point trem on my Mex Strat, that I bought the Vega-trem without a lot of research, but so happy with the ease of fit and the results.
So here are my Favorites - Vintage 6 screw - Gotoh Traditional Tremolo - 2 7/32 Bent steel saddle bridge - I typically put HighWood saddles on here to complete it, and it is if you are looking for that traditional trem look. - Runner Ups - Floyd Rose RailTail - Good for if you want a modern look on a vintage 6 screw style mount system, great if you deck your trem, takes a while to break in. - Super Vee Bladerunner - Best return to pitch a price 2 point Modern - Hipshot Contour Bridge - For Cost the best, its hands down the best option and TBH goes good with the Directotron 21:1 direct 2 pin replacement tuners - Runner Up - Sophia 2.2 - Expensive the best for this mounting system but if you don't care how much you put down. Floyd Recessed - OFR German - The original is still the best modified with Hollow Points it looks great and add a Tremolo-No - Runner Up - Ibanez Edge-Zero II bridge - LoPro design combined with the w/ZPS3Fe is just something that you need to try, This is more custom body not really a replacement. Floyd Top Mount - Gotoh GE1996T - In some cases this is also your best recessed provided it will fit without modification, hands down the best Floyd LIC on the market.
WOW! What a cool video I used to have a 1963 Jaguar and I used to dream about the Mustang from the Catalog when I was a teen ager. Music has made us happy our whole life Thanks Nisebelle
1st show is not easy, when you do it more frequent with songs you know very good, you can start to enjoy it yourself a lot and this whats the feel and then after a while it gets a bit boring , because you know the songs so well and can not hear them anymore and you have to keep up a good feeling to transport the song and the feeling or you write a new songs and start over again.
Great video! Always wanted to make my own pickups, I remember way back as a kid seeing an Instructable I think where someone maid a pair from a ruler! Excited to see where you go in your pickup journey!
I used to have a candy apple red Japanese Jaguar from the 90s. I named her Kara but have never named another guitar .I think that's going to change now though 😂
I was at the music experience in Seattle in 2009. I believe was a Jazz Master hanging in a case or on the wall that Jimmi used. Kinda cool seeing you do an upgrade.
I like what Keith Richards said when changing guitars, "Give me 15 minutes and I will sound like myself." I think the player is more influential on the sound more than the guitar. Guitar types like solid body vs arch top vs acoustic would have more of an impact on sound. Once you find "your sound" you will gravitate more towards similar guitars overall.
Very nice! I too played the week before EVERYTHING shut down back in 2020 (at the Rebel Lounge which was just recognized as the best small venue in the world). That was just me on my 1972 beat to hell Yamaha acoustic. My usual open mic rig is two guitars (ones a back up) and my Vox VT 30 and doing pretty much a Billy Bragg style set of usually three songs. So its fun and I miss playing out. Hello from Phoenix!🏜️👍✨
The world always needs better pickups. Get some Michael Gray Strat handwound pickups and study them....outstanding tone! Lollar pickups are amazing too! Great source to learn! Great video ...thank you! That was so nice for Kevin to show you. He has super steady hands...always a plus.
Here's a little tip for anyone who solders and uses a stand to hold the wire. On both sides of the alligator clip take a piece of shrink tub and place it over the alligator clip. Do both of them and then shrink the tube. What this does is stop the metal clips from going into the side of your wire and possibly causing a short. It doesn't matter if you have a high-end model or a low end model they all need this done. I really enjoyed your video. I always like watching other people who do their own work. There's always something to learn from somebody. I learned that lesson long ago. I most definitely gave you a thumbs up and I hit the subscribe button I'm also looking forward to watching more from you.
As I approach my EPIC rebuild project on me very own MIM Jazzmaster, with it's great sounding P-90's disguised as Fenders' er/uh and if that ain't bad enuff, I'm totally and utterly distracted by you, girl, as my deteriorating brain continues to malfunction... (I reside in glamorous picturesque Koreatown, Los Angeles if you ever wanna JAM...) Thanx for the vid and Cheerios
