Looks good I have a 04 avalanche that I took the headliner out a year ago and I finally ordered the material I can't wait to tackle the sunvisor to lol honestly that's the part I'm more nervous about
Take your time with the sun visors. To me this was the most tedious part, making sure to leave enough material to tuck in and then wrap around the visor holder/rod. The good thing is if it doesn’t come out good, you can take off the sun visor easily enough to redo them.

I believe spring and top mount has specific orientation in relation to the end link mount located at base of strut Also Its important to not over tighten the first and secondary top strut nuts. As itll place undue pressure on the strut bearing I added a spiel on the Facebook Chevy SS forum about the correct orientation and torque settings

I just did mine today. Best advice I can say to do is remove the front passenger seat from the car before you drop the headliner. Makes taking the headliner out and putting it back in the car light years easier. You will need a T50 Torx bit. The seat is held in place by two Torx screws. The torque for installing the seat back is 33 lb ft.

I love it! Sweet! I was thinking of purchasing some Forgestar CF5V wheels. I like these wheels because the rears can be spec'd out to give a bit of a concave look.

This came out really nice! I have an 05 Avalanche that I’m slowly restoring piece by piece / 1 small project at a time. I’ll be installing new charcoal headliner fabric the same as what you’ve done. Your video was very helpful as I prepare to do the same. I’d love to see other work on the truck if you have more reno plans for the Avalanche. This may sound weird but your Avalanche has a name that was given to it from the factory. If you pull your cluster bezel as if you were going to want to access the stereo. The name given to the truck is typically on top of the plastic cluster trim bezel, my Avalanche has the name “Mike H.” I wonder what your truck’s name is from the factory? Great job and I’ve subscribed should you do more to the Avalanche

The exterior trim is completely faded which is a common problem but instead of using a trim restorer kit, I plan on using a spray and I actually used on textured interior parts and came out awesome. That's the name of the person who installed that part or assembly, not the name of the truck. Mine says Sue K. My wife's Kia has a sticker inside the sunroof track with a person's photo and Korean characters. Presumably the same thing.

Great video, quick question. Where did you order the Holden upper grill / badges from? I got mine from holdenpartsusa and the plastic looks super cheap and not a glass black finish like OEM. Just curious If you have to paint them
I got mine many years ago, probably like 7 years, from the gm website and it came like that. I just looked up the grill on holdenpartsusa page and found this:”5/10/2024 UPDATE: Holden has changed manufacturers for the grilles. They are no longer painted Phantom Black Metallic and they come in black plastic only. “ That probably explains why yours looks different. If you do decide to get it painted, it’s not gloss black exactly, I think it’s call phantom black metallic, something like that.
Thanks bud! Yeah GM didn’t do a good job marking them in the US so they weren’t that popular. So many have been getting stolen lately and insurance companies just total them out. The number of SS/commodore vehicles in the US has been dropping like flies man. I don’t plan on getting rid of this car ever. So fun to drive.
I watch all your videos dude.i love your ss it sounds bad ass.i have a 2014 red ss sandan and I love mine it don't have but 13000 miles on it it looks new still it's been lowered custom rim a rear spoiler .I still love yours that cam and super charger is bad ass.stay safe and keep up the great job
I had recorded this video last year but never got around to editing it and uploading it till now. I installed this grille before the carbon fiber vented hood. Ive done this for my 370z , although im having trouble getting my headliner to stick back into the car it just doesnt seem to stay up did you use any adhesive spray or what did you do?
You mean the headliner board isn’t staying up against the ceiling? No I didn’t use anything, the pillars, dome lights, pushpins and various other components hold up the headliner board to the ceiling in my vehicle. Sorry if I miss understood you.
