I cannot understand the fascination people have with Scandi grind knives. Seems like people buy them because because they watch videos of bushcrafty people smashing them through seasoned chunks of firewood and get all excited about it, even though 99% of them will never need to do that. The VAST majority of knife use for people is going to be all the things a full flat grind excels at, cutting and slicing.
I would not add sugar. Sugar feeds cancer. It defeats the object of it being a healthy drink. I would add honey. To remove bugs place the flowers on a large sheet of paper and bugs will naturally leave the flowers. Empty paper humanely in the garden.
Nice man !!! Ya know , I bought some corbies a while back and decided to use em on this build,, thanks for the tutorial on the c-bore grind !! Really slick deal !! Gonna try it!! I might use my bench grinder for relieving the radius left by the belt grinder!! But either way ,,thanks man !!!
After determining your location, I immediately made my decision tio subscribe. It was 1970 or 1971 that I participated in a preaching mission to Great Britain. I was fortunate to be assigned to an incredibly quaint village by the name of Crishall. The family with whom I stayed were delightful and very hospitable. The gentleman of the house was a farmer, church musician, & also tended an orchard. Most likely, the time of my visit preceded your birth. As a new subscriber, I look forward to learning much from you & your wife: experimenting with new skills and/or refreshing former skills. Thank you again, and may God bless you & yours!
Thank you for enabling an 83 year old man to take a walk down Memory Lane & for refreshing my memory on how to make wooden whistles like I did in my childhood & adolescence! From your accent I detected that you & your wife must live on the other side of the Atlantic. I look forward to watching more of your videos; & on the basis of this presentation, I am seriously considering becoming a subscriber. Almost 50 years ago I learned many rustic handcrafts when my family lived in the Southeastern Appalachian mountains in the USA. We now live in the Deep South. In my earlier years I was privileged to visit England, Ireland, & Scotland from which some of my ancestors migrated to America; others possibly came from Sweden or Switzerland. I am very blessed to discover your channel. May God bless you & yours!
I had no idea until by accident heard of this . I have 3 river birch but for the first time at the beginning of the year I gave them bayer feed and protect because the June bugs were eating away the leaves . I love them for their beauty and I live in a subdivision ( more about looks than nourishing) . Also use fertilizers for lawn care . I guess I will not be drinking their sap 😢
Great review. My company has been at work on a PAPR with an all in one design monocoque manifold. Our aim is a PAPR that's more accessible to the maker crowd. When we have certification, would you be willing to give it a try to compare? Its called MicroClimate Air3.
Good luck with sharpening the Scandi grind blades... fk that bro. Gimme thick hollow grind with secondary bevel any day. and a small flat grind for everything else. I carry two or three blades to the camp anyway.
Hi. Great video. I have 1 question. You have made 20 litres and left for 2 weeks to mature. Does the whole batch then need drunk or refrigerated to stop the fermentation process or could I safely store the bottles in the garage and refrigerate a bottle at a time and drink at my leasure? Thanks.
