Tech’s stadium is better and more iconic than Baylor. And I don’t know why talking about Lubbock changes the stadium score. It’s about stadium, not location.
Am I the only one who finds Kyle field ugly as hell?? It looks like a kid put together a bunch of different sized Lego pieces. It’s definitely not over DKR. The Skyline view alone washes Kyle field.
Kyle field may have the highest capacity of any stadium in Texas, but the best? Cmon, now. DKR is so much better looking. Plus the location, right in downtown Austin. Ya can’t beat that. One of the most unique places in college football.
The current iteration of Kyle field is unquestionably a nicer stadium. You clearly haven’t been there. Also, location is irrelevant to the stadium itself.
I’m in HS Marchung Band in Austin, we get to play is The Alamodome, Baylor Stadium, and UT’s Stadium this year, plus a few other stadiums with ~10K capacity and UIL Area is in a 25K stadium
A&M is technically older but that also half true because they were not an actual university to begin with. UT is the premiere public university leading every category save agriculture against A&M. Finally, while one could argue that A&M has a more involved fan base, the overall amount of Longhorn fans is substantially more than the overall number of Aggies.Though, putA&M in any otherstate and they would probably be the biggest brand. But this is TEXAS and in TEXAS , TEXAS reigns supreme.
Neither Texas nor Texas A&M are the "premiere" school in Texas, if you're talking about football strength. Since joining the Big12, TCU has whipped Texas 8-4, and Texas only won by one possession. A&M is average, aside from their Johnny Manziel years.
@@kdog2646 Reading comprehension is important: _" Since joining the Big12, TCU has whipped Texas 8-4...."_ The full history doesn't really matter considering most of those years TCU was at the G5 level and football wasn't as important or as big a moneymaker back then.
@@shockandawe03 51-45, 42-3, 62-22, 82-27. Anyone can cherry-pick. To your limited intellect point, 131 other teams wanted to be there but couldn't, and 132 teams were going to lose to Georgia.
Texas basically has been completely mis managed from 2010-2019. They always have been and always will be the "premiere" school because of location, prestige, history money, football wins etc. Who cares that they were down a fewyears? Until they are surpassed in any measurement of program strength they will always be that.
If the Aggies had any historical success in football or fans outside of their alumni, they would have had some bargaining power, so as it was they got left out. They also haven’t done ANYTHING in the SEC and that’s why they asked OU and UT to join. Aggies need to take their ball and quit again and maybe go to the ACC where they might come in second every now and then
I go to Sam Houston State and I can definitely say that bowers stadium is probably the worst in all of D1 college football. Double sided bleachers rather than a bowl, itty bitty press box, there’s a fuckin track around the field… my high school’s stadium was bigger than that. Matter of fact, when we played at bowers, I literally thought we were at Huntsville high school with how shitty the field house was
The Alamo dome has one advantage over every other collage stadium in the state. That is that every game is 71 degrees and no one is worried about players or fans suffering from heat related illness
Not an Aggie or Longhorn, but it’s clear that UT made a massive mistake not joining the conference sooner. No longer a little brother, aTm is every bit the peer of every school in the SEC and it’s UT that has to prove itself.
Ehhh I think Kyle field just has a nicer look to it and a nicer outside the stadium too, I do like the longhorn on the tv Side of the ut stadium, but I think it’s just not as good as a stadium.
@@es330td 92 and 94 talking regular season. Everyone was paying players. Guy that turned A&M in left for the job of President at OU a day after filing the paperwork
I would've given you a like but you bagged on Lubbock way too much. Fall weather in Lubbock is fantastic thanks to it's elevation & dry climate, so it actually makes it a really nice place to attend a game.
Texas and Deloss Dodds killed the SWC and then the Big 12. They ran off Nebraska, Colorado and strong armed the rest of the conf. Now they're coming to the SEC after burning down the other conferences and leaving all the other TX teams in the college football "wilderness". They will not get to bully anyone in the SEC. The revenue sharing has been great for competition and the conference is very balanced and extremely difficult. Not just in football, but Baseball and basketball as well. I hate the way Texas conducted business for decades, but I must confess . . . as an Aggie ('91) I will be excited to play them again. Its a great rivalry and I have many, many great friends from tu. It's gonna be fun. Gig 'em!
True. But it gets crazy when I look into the schools themselves because A&M grads on average make more money than UT grads do. I still heavily considered going to UT because Austin seemed really fun regardless.
I’m not a LSU fan but their uniforms aren’t just the best in the SEC they are the best in the country as far as colors and aesthetics. Just my opinion just as everyone has their own.
NOTE: I address Tennessee as 5th on my list but they are actually 4th Texas A&M is the 5th team, my views on their uniforms got blended in with Mississippi state.
NOTE: My thoughts on TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium in Ft. Worth did not record, so I’ll leave my some of my thoughts here. I love how AGC feels almost larger than life from its views on the field. “The Carter” only holds 47,000 but it definitely feels way more than that on gameday. I really like how the end zone club sits within the stands on the back end zone and really makes the stadium distinctly TCU. I have it ranked 4th after Jones AT&T Stadium.
How could you skip the Carter? It's such a great stadium. It's not as iconic as Kyle or DKR, doesn't have as much history as many on the list but it's by far one of the better looking stadiums especially on the outside
