As someone who is at AR 55 I despise the character and elemanal restrictions. I have had an almost completely consistent character team throughtout my whole playthrough of the game (Raiden,Mona,Layla, Yaoyao. and recently using Arlecchino occasionally bcz I invested tall.) because it was all I needed to get through the game. I have many charcters, yes, but it feels so sudden for hoyo to say "Yeah, you know those characters that haven't seen the light of day since the last Hu Tao re-run and are only at lvl 20? Yeah, well you need to go level all of them up and give them half decent artifacts so you can play this game mode that barely gives (what I think is) substantial rewards for your effort." (talking abou the limited primo rewards, not the first time rewards) I get that this game mode is end content and I have no problem with lvling my characters up to meet the standards and try out new play styles the thing is, the process is so tedious and it felt so random to me that all of a sudden I needed to have a large array of different charcters to meet the element restrictions AND have them all leveled up to be half decent characters that I won't even pull out during open world exploration or upcoming quests. SORRY FOR THE YAP FEST.
I did for Primogems, I stopped at act 6 and said "screw this shit" Hoyo should have made 3 energies (whatever you call it) for easy go through but I doubt there is any chance for us to reach at the end
Ive been playing Genshin for a little longer than 1.5 years now. I've always been building my account wide instead of tall, because leveling 80 to 90 is expensive, and minmaxing artifacts sucks anyways. My benchmark for how strong I make my character has always been rather or not they're useful in Abyss 11 and/or against weekly bosses. I never cleared Abyss 12 with more than 3 stars, and on most cycles I don't even bother with Floor 12 at all. That being said, because of the way I build my account, I actually managed to clear Act 8, and for the first time I feel like the game is acknowledging and validated my playstyle. IMO the theater is a great addition, and a great alternative endgame mode and I very much look forward to what they're doing with it in the future.
I'll give a hot take here I am an old f2p player that is struggling to 36 star the abyss (for some reason) Seeing others talk about how easy floor 12 is while i can't finish it is becoming frustrating On the other hand, I was able to complete the imaginarium theater by using the many characters that I have built over the years, and it was kinda fun I don't think there is a problem with the need for horizontal investment in this gamemode. At the end of the day, spiral abyss became repetative and players were not encouraged to try out different characters. In the imaginarium theater you can try different characters and teams every time, and you need to think and plan ahead your teams to succeed
17:14 okay, so I'm a tcg player too. here's a fun tip if you don't know it, i see you got rid of some dice you didn't like, and you can actually just do a drag click over the ones you don't want and it's really quick. instead of individually clicking each one. it wont save a TON of time but it'll be a convenient shortcut.
ok everything i'm going to write down now sounds harsh but should help new players to NOT make these mistakes in this video ... Timestamps would have helped me a lot btw 1. do not build only one main character ... build a viable team of four. why? let's take kaeya for instance ... try to kill cryo enemies with him alone ... yeah won't be that easy. 2. the traveller is not a viable option as main dps ... support maybe but not dps 3. weapon banner is often a scam but sometimes they are really good but you need the character for the weapon first so go for it afterwards if you really really really want it 4. don't use starglitter on the 4 stars ... buy the intertwined fate ... ALWAYS 5. do not use condensed resin on leylines until you got all 3 achievements for collecting the rewards ... i believe it was 800 times 6. why wouldn't you rush your adventure rank ... before ar45 you can't even farm artifacts so rush it
I can't agree with everything you stated since it depends on your playstyle and how you build your account but I do agree with somethings , as someone who has followed these rules stated in the video until a reached ar 35, they were not that useful because and you will suffer with just one build character but that depends on your play style. Traveler is indeed not a good main for a starter maybe but as the game progress you will definitely prefer a better character or got one while wishing. The weapon banner is a scam and depending on the character most of there signature weapons are not the best for them depending on the team, so pulling on weapon banner is not a good idea unless you already have a strong or good around and you really want to. I would recommend only buying the character with starglitter if you want the constellations or if you were unable to get them on there banner. Now when it comes the condensed resin, spend it on anything you want because it doesn't really effect you a lot through out the game or your account. The whole purpose of condensed resin is so your resin doesn't stay there all day but they also give you extra or more rewards, so using them is a benefit. DON'T RUSH your adventure rank even if you want better artifacts that doesn't mean you need to ascend to get good artifacts. I made the mistake of rushing and it was not fun, with my other account on the other hand I stayed on ar 35 for at least 4 months in this time I ascended multiple of my character to level 70-80 and farmed like my life depended on it and it was fun for me but this might sound like torture to other, anyway because I did this when I did ascend I went straight to ar 40 and was close to ar 41 and not only were my characters stronger than multiple opponents, artifacts were much easier to farm and they were better. So basically if your at ar 35 or soon there don't ascend just yet farm and level character, I promise doing this makes things a lot easier and some one in the comments even said themselves they would do this too.
Straight up screw this mode. Not being about to use your same characters or the ones you want is dumb af. Used one of my better characters in the earlier level and now I can't get through it at all with the characters they are giving me.
your sugestions are bad, leveling up weapons is not restrycted by time or payment, there is a ton of ore on 5 continents, you must to lvl up weapons for DPS characters
guys i have this squad: Furina, Gaming (C2), Benett (C5), Rozaria (C1). But also i have Xingqiu, does he belong in this team? I mean if he's best than Rozaria maybe.. or someone?
to me is so evident it's garbage, i don't even need to comment any further I just say I have almost every chara and all 5 star are well built, but despite it i found it annoying, and for sure much worse than abyss
Interesting. I have mostly mid builds and like two thirds of characters in a usable state and found it a breeze. Your dissatisfaction is not self-evident.
Sure, adapt,start building characters bla bla bla.... Resin.... It exists.... To build every character thats just not doable, thats a LARGE factor in why people only build their favorite characters.
@@Silber_Ag that doesn't really matter because resin at cap is permanently lost resin. When people put all their resin towards their favorite characters, theres none left for the ones you dont care about and nobody wants to put all that effort into characters they don't care for in the first place. When you're done building, that resin either goes to a future character you may want, or it sits at cap wasting away because resin is far too limiting and is required for far too many parts of the game. Ive been playing since release and more than half my characters still have 111 talents and no artifacts. To complete this season of theater i had to give some characters throw away artifacts but i get the feeling thats not gonna work forever.
Why, just why they did it? They had this perfect event in 2.2, just perfect, down to last, minut details. Labyrinth Warriors it's called. Hoyo didn't had to reinvent some garbage restrictive endgame. They just had to have us fun, like in good old times! This event had everything right: expansive dungeon with multiple rooms, different difficulty settings so it was accessible and enjoyable for everyone, tactical approach to conquering this domain (different roots with different rooms and rewards), selection of random but strong rewards AFTER clearing the room (and not just +8 to CR and +16 to CD) so it's gave feeling of achievement and reason to take different approaches (there was different rooms with different options and rewards), tons of options and experimentation whith game mechanics, and bosses in the end of each floor. That was great, that was abyss how it always shood be, that what old-timers always wanted when asked for new endgame content. And what really puzzles me is just why they never added it as endgame, they already have it, already created and coded everything, they even have reasonable lore behind it existence, they even have functional and very popular analogs in honkai impact 3rd and star rail (Elisian realm and simulated univers). And it really drives me nuts, why they created, rerunned and made into endgame some awful restrictive butle event and complete forget about perfect one. It's just doesn't makes any sense to me, especially since they have just the same thing in their other games. Except maybe they're just greedy enough to force us spend more in that way, or they are deliberately sabotaged gensh in favor of their other games (doubt it, it's just makes them too much money to do so).

i've been playing this hellhole for 4 years, so i'm not overly affected. and i also got bored of farming artifacts, so i just passively started farming bosses. everyone is almost max ascended save for some characters at 70/80(they're also all at friendship 10). one of my gripes with this mode is that i'm forced to use 4 characters, instead of trying to bypass it with 2 or less. but i also get it, it's thematic. since you get to have a party of protagonists trying to fight together. i get why people complain, but it's not like this mode is gonna run away. i think it stays for a month til reset? which should be a decent amount of time for players to build up characters decently. i know it's annoying that you can't immediately clear it and you gotta do the waiting game, but i don't think it's that difficult. it's doable, it just takes time and patience. and some rng, depending on what tower defense room you get. my other gripe is the rewards i guess. those poses in the store? idk, they feel underwhelming. i wish there was more, but it is what it is. it's also weird that we might not even be able to exchange for all of them, cause they'll change rotation too? not sure if they'll ever rerun the current ones in the future either.
Since I started years ago I made a goal for myself to build every character I got. Even though people told me I was wasting my time and recources, I was so excited to get to utilize them now! I do get some people hate artifact grinding but I've always had tons of fun doing artifacts all the time and have lvl 20 5 star artifacts on almost all my characters also being around 90-80 leveled for all of them, I hope others don’t feel forced to be amazing all at once or anything like that but I like that for players like me that just wanted to have fun with all our characters and have been clowned on for not having just afew characters with 60 crit rate and 300% crit dmg, but instead have decent consistent dmg for every team can shine and have fun!
Funny, all I've heard is that its too easy still. In regards to your idea of locking players out until level 50, I think being more like spiral abyss and and having easier less restrictive lower levels that ramp up in restriction and difficulty would be a better way to ease players into it than simply locking them out and waiting till a higher level is reached to give them a heal turn.
It's not that bad, I am relatively new, played since Wanderer release in Sumerian and it's actually quite easy. But yeah, you gotta build some artifacts, weapons and characters. Luckily I have several back ups artifacts for some events that needs 3 full teams, it wasn't minmaxed just normal piece of glad and wanderer troupe but it was enough. And I have a rule, if it is C6(4star) it must be build, so I have several 4 star at lvl 89. Oh, I am not a whale, never top up.
Bwaaaah poor veterans who only built 2 characters then left rhe resin capped the next 4 years Those are the only players i don't feel bad for at all. I have 70some characters, all 80+ with at least 666 talents. If you don't bother playing you can't really get mad when a new mode comes out that assumes you have played the game past levelling xingqiu and xiangling
Accessibility is different from difficulty. Endgame is supposed to be HARD and THATS why its inaccessible, not because youd have to spent every milliseconds of the resin you get no lifing the timer. Its hypocritical that you'd need to burn yourself out watching the mechanic made specifically "to prevent burn out" this is DIRECTLY been the cause of unused resin for new AND old players since day 1 of the games release. This season i only had 4 of the characters were unbuilt so i just threw on gladiator stuff nobody was using. But now i have to halt pre farming for rerun and characters to use all my resin on characters Barbra who would normally get no play in any other walk of content because they're boring to me.
"I DON'T WANNA BUILD BARBARA SHE WOULD NEVER SEE ANY PLAY OUTSIDE THIS MODE WAAAH" that's the point, to give you a reason to try anything besides the same rotation you've been steamrolling the "hard" content with for the past 4 years while patting yourself on the back for being a good little gamerboy

END GAME CONTENT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD. Stop shilling poor decisions of the most predatory gacha game out. Sorry your 5 seconds of fame in you no lifing the resin timer allows you to slightly complete it faster than someone with throw away artifacts but uf you keep turning off your brain in a conversation you'll never understand your topic. This is a GACHA GAME. Teams i put primos and money into SHOULD be what i use. The game with. By far the LONGEST character building process of any gacha game out has no reason to resin check players in a manner of an opposite situations. This event would work in literally any other gacha. Hell it would work in this game if resin wasnt used for breathing.

I'm not mad about the element requirement, nor the energy or the number of "built" chracters It's the fact that you need to use pre determined characters and they force you to use random character instead of letting you choose in the pool you made. How am I supposed to make a strategy if all characters are selected randomly?
It is annoying not being able to use some of my characters but at the same time it makes me have to think differently on how to approach the challenge. I’ve built some good units (built to the point where I’m happy with them and not min maxed them to oblivion) so being able to let them shine is nice to see. I welcome the challenge
why won’t they just let me use the characters i like 💀 i paid all this money and spent time building them id prefer to use them as opposed to some trial build and a character i haven’t touched since like 1.1 🥲
Then don't use the Trial characters?? They only give 6 Trial characters, and if you own them, you can use YOUR OWN. What was the point of this baby-ahh complaint.
