Hi, I'm Will. Welcome to my reaction channel, Will Reacts!!!

During the covid pandemic, I grew to love reaction channels because it feels like you're getting to experience something you care about with someone else who shares that same passion. With that in mind and some experience in videography, photography, and audio production, I thought, why not start my own reaction channel? So at the end of 2022, I did, and to my surprise people really seemed to like it!!!

Shortly after launching, a community of like-minded, passionate people started to form around the channel. If you're reading this and aren't a part of that community, I invite you to join us by subscribing, hitting the notification bell, and participating in the comments section of the videos. Anyone is welcome, the only requirement is positive vibes only!

Thank you and don't forget to enjoy the ride and keep pushing!!!

Talking of in-ear pieces, I heard in an interview that on their Live Aid performance, they couldn’t actually hear each other. They had to rely on experience & a week’s worth of rehearsing. Apparently Roger didn’t even know how well it was going until he looked up near the end and saw the audience swaying like a field of wheat. And thought, oh it’s not gone too badly then😂

BTW Hon… There are some individuals on YT who “specialize” in remastering/UPGRADING the old Queen performance videos. The BEST channel is (the HD on their videos is UNBELIEVABLE)… VIDEO REMASTER ITA Another well-known channel is… Chief Mouse (There are others, too, but these are two really good ones.)

Short explanation of the meaning of some of the songs: "Tristeza": This song is written for Sadness, where the singer asks it to please leave her life and let her explore everything that living can offer, like love. "Te guardo": This is a love story. Imagine two people who loved each other deeply but had to part ways due to life circumstances. In the song, she tells the other person that if they ever meet again, she will always have a place in her heart for him. "Un día cualquiera": The song basically says, "I want a normal day, a normal life, but with you by my side. I want to wake up with you, understand and know everything about you, including your fears." "Marchita": As Silvana says before playing and singing, it is a song full of drama, passion, and above all, Mexican humor. The song talks about betrayal and pain, with verses like: "And if I had known that to you I meant so little, I would have been more cautious when giving you my heart." "Tonadas de ordeño": This is not an original song by Silvana; it is a cover of Soledad Bravo. Before singing, Silvana mentioned that she and her father enjoy this song a lot. From my interpretation, the song talks about how to deal with some of life's pains with the help of faith (it has many religious references) and nature.

Btw, one of the backup singers accompanying Silvana is another Mexican artist named Laura Itandehui. I highly recommend her music; she has a beautiful voice and immense talent for writing and composing her songs.

Sorry, just found you; so, I’m late to the Comment Section! I’m a 66 y/o Glamma. You seem to enjoy the background of things. And, I’m a Trivia sponge, so here goes: FUN FACTS FIRST: The kisses are for his Mom who was watching him on Television. MATTER OF FACTS: They had just completed a Tour a month b4. So, they went & rented a Stadium to practice the performance. He ended up with a Throat Infection & the Doctor highly recommended he not do it bc he might lose his musical ability. He said no! Can you tell he had a severe throat infection? Most people think he was drinking booze from the cups bc on the piano. He’s drinking Honey & Tea. His command of the Audience was more than coincidence it was miraculous. Considering there were so many people there the sound was getting absorbed through them. So the people @ the back we’re following his hand gestures bc the actual sound hadn’t even reached them b4 the next sound was coming @ them. Go back & watch what his hands are doing & what the Audience is doing. NEXT: Radio Gaga is celebrating Radio bc M-TV is just getting started. LADY GAGA was a huge Freddie Fam growing up, so That was where she came up with HER STAGE NAME! You have to listen to the words to really understand the meaning. Most of us didn’t have a clue what a Band looked like unless we saw them in Person! NEXT-MICROPHONE. At sometime along the way a Microphone Stand broke, so that was the only spilt second solution they could come up with. He realized the freedom he had to move, dance, & engage the Audience. NEXT MICHAEL JACKSON & ELVIS CONNECTION on Song THIS THING CALLED LOVE: It was written as his homage to Elvis-Freddie was a big fan. But, he just wasn’t sure about the song bc he didn’t want to taint Elvis. SO, he played it for Michael J. (Yes, they were friends!). And Michael told him he HAD TO, he said “Freddie, you have to”! (Can’t you just see that!?). NEXT FREDDIE’s VOICE. HE HAD 4 extra teeth so that’s the reason he had such an overbite. He had the ability to naturally flow from Octave to Octave. It was a natural progression, for him. SCIENTIFICALLY: Test were done on his Voice. He was able to use his Throat muscles on either side of his vocal cords. Which is normally seen in some Opera Singers. His Vocal Range was from Low Bass F, to High Soprano F! They were extremely surprised to find out that he could go from about 92Hz to 784Hz, effortlessly! See ACTUAL REPORT BELOW: nyone who has listened to a Queen track knows that Freddie has a unique ability that still has not been truly replicated since. His ability to blend highs, lows and mid range notes cohesively and with immense precision. This skill was due to the fact that Freddie was able to create faster vibrato and harmonics than any other singer at the time. Not only this, he was able to shift through registers effortlessly. Although he naturally held a baritone voice, he primarily sang as a tenor and of course had no problem then shifting into soprano parts. One study on Freddie’s vocal range even confirmed that he was able to vary from about 92.2 Hz to 784 Hz, meaning he was reliably able to hit notes from the booming low of F#2 to the high pitch G5 - that covers a full three octaves! LEAD GUITARIST: Brian May, is playing on a Guitar he & his Father made. When he first starting to learn they were too poor to afford a high end guitar. So, they just made one! They made out of an old cabinet his mother was going to throw awayThe included some “extras” that would normally have to be separate instruments to get all those features (think Concerts when you see guitarist changing Guitars depending on the Song….that’s why he didn’t)! I’m sorry to take up your Valuable Time, and I thank you. You need anymore Trivia I’m your G’Ma go to. My Brain is full, especially with music! LAST INTERESTING INFO: When he is waving his arm it is to tell the cameramen which way he is going bc he’s moving around so much. When he kicks his legs backwards that is getting over all the cables, that are on the Stage. TV Cameras were not cordless back in the day!! And, “We Will Rock You”, is actually a Prelude to “We Are The Champions”. (It is really all 1 Song!)

21:06 "I haven't run in any copyright issues yet" - you won't get copyright issues from Queen, because they're too smart to not appreciate the free advertising they get through social media content like reaction videos. 🙂🙂 You only have to be careful with the live aid content, because live aid has different copyright owners than Queen.

The groups were not paid and only given 20 minutes each to perform. Others to perform were Elvis Cistello, David Bowie, Madonna, Dire Straits, U2. Elton John, Statue Quo, Paul McCarrhy without the rest of the group, and many more. Oddly people like Stevie Wonder, Cat Steven's, Culture Club to name a few refused for various reasons to perform.

Remember this was a hastily arranged CHARITY concert for starving Africans in response to 'on the spot news' by the BBC. It wasn't even a 'Queen' fanatic's crowd as such. People in the UK care about others. The last shot you saw was the American (same day) event with a certain UK drummer playing in BOTH, thanks to Concorde!

Great reaction . Now let's look at them way back in 1974, live at the rainbow and listen/watch Liar written by Freddie years before Queen. Every member has their own time to shine. This band always had rehearsals regularly and long sound checks the day of the concert. They used eye to eye contact between each other when performing. also observe that when finishing a song Freddie will wait until all their eyes are on him before signalling stop. When Freddie is playing the piano John the bass player is always close by this allowed Freddie to keep with the rhythm. Great band I've been a fan since their formation,we the Queenie's will guide and support you on your journey. One more thing the band never forget that it was the fans who made them, they never took the fans for granted, they aimed always that fans left the concert feeling that they were apart of the experience and not silent observers xx

They said 'You can buy a ticket to see every musician you like for $25 and support a good cause at the same time,' and everyone who could show up, showed up, along with billions around the world watching from home. It was the greatest concert that will ever be.

i dont know what exactly the pedal is, but he is playing that bass line with it. likely it is preset to cycle the bass notes. Aurora was supposed to play more synth in this recording but she said she just wanted to dance. it was spontaneous.

Love this one, and her mistakes just adds to the magic. Sounds amazing! If I remember correctly Fredrik didn't sing when he started with Aurora, but I remember producer (and ex drummer) Magnus on some tracks. He's harmonizing more now though, and if I'm not mistaken he's also writing some of the songs with her. Amazing musician. Highly recommend "A Soul With No King" as well. Same setting and made the same day I believe. Too bad about the copyright stuff. Her latest video "Starvation" is something else 😊

Great reaction to this epic performance. This performance is the perfect storm for me, all the different things that make this "one" of my absolute favorite live performances of hers. Another one is at this same live session, Soul With No King, she has a, for lack of a better word, primal scream that is just exquisite to me. Thanks Maria and Will.
