@@AlternativeGuitars been listening to them from day one - first time I saw them was at Bullingdon Arms just before Brutalism album only 20 people there - met them all after the gig such decent chaps
Yep, Pandamonium - Killing Joke, although this one is direct from the guy who runs Malicious Damage records so it doesn't have the KJ logo on as they'd fallen out with the band at the time! he told me that story over a beer one time
Holy moley!! What a tune !!! Thank you for this introduction amigo . Superbly knocked out and Rocked out 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️ 5 skulls for you Austin .
🇵🇪🙏🏴💫Awesome! Game watched it Yesterday! Im born in Liverpool but l live in Ontario Canada now But have all My Beautiful Family still in Liverpool! So Cheers always nice too here your Music !! I play the guitar as well and l absolutely Luv it!!!💫💜Thanks Sooo Much!!
I didnt even know the Death Cult still did shows, did they get bored of doing the same old Cult songs. The Southern Death Cult are one of my all time favorite bands would love to see that reunion happen.
@@AlternativeGuitars I am American, i am pretty sure most people here have no idea they ever existed. so i am assuming those shows were not in the U.S. would have loved to see that.
Now this is an underrated band. Another from the Leeds era. Stop playing riffs and invent a time machine so we can relive these over that beer in fog gloom and goth, Austin. Hope alls well, mate.
One of my favorite albums ever. It sends my mind to a place that does exist, and that is something few records can do. Great playing from you, as always!
Interesting version with the ebow and reeeally lovely played! 😍💕 ...although I miss the wind chimes at the beginning. Plainsong is so deeply in my mind as it's my first ever heard live song by The Cure at the Bizzare Festival Loreley '89! 🥰 Main parts were former played by Porl on guitar? , later by Simon on bass? Robert played the fill in for the synths on guitar 2005? Or is there another live version with Robert on guitar?
Always found the Chillies a mixed bag, Austin. Californication was good along with a few other tracks. But not really my cup of tea, so to speak. Nevertheless, you nailed this again. Although now I'm reminded of early REM. Ever done any of theirs? Some great riffs as I recall. Same with Hawkwind and Chronicles of the Black Sword.
Yeah, a love/hate band for some people, one band who were on the edge of the Alternative scene but not as much as say, janes Addiction. I used to go to a pub and they'd play their cover of Stevie Wonders Higher Ground which is what got me into them. Used to love a bit of REM back in the day - Finest Worksong/One I love/Orange Crush
@@AlternativeGuitars Very true, Austin. I've still got Karma Police on a playlist. Mind you the list of artists and tracks from back then is immense. Nirvanas’s Heart-Shaped Box to name but one with a great ruff.
Awesome! This is the one I was waiting for. On another note, I would love if there were Tabs made available for these early Death Cult / Cult tunes to go along with your videos for future reference. It's hard to find decent guitar covers of these songs with this quality for these songs. Appreciate it! Thanks!
Thanks Maxximum, you must have been one of the people who requested it so happy to finally get round to doing it. I don't do tabs unfortunately but hopefully this vid might help you out. The first part is just using a barr shape starting on B (G,B,E strings are all open), then move that shape around, so it goes - B, C, A, B, then E minor ( I play it up the neck but you can use a normal shape), A, Fsharp, G, - then the melodic riffs are quite straightforward if you can work them out by ear and the vid
