I have one of these gearboxes on my 96 Bronco. The steering has alot of play in it. So fixing this would presumably require swapping out the gears. Is that correct, and where would I find the gears (I looked around online and found nothing but kits containing seals)? Thanks
Look up Saginaw steering box backlash adjustment. I set mine during the rebuild but you can do it w/o removing the box usually. Be careful not to go too tight or else it will bind up
I love the work you do so don't take this the wrong way. The problem i have is that antiques need to be preserved with original parts and pieces as much as possible. You basically just built a new machine. Its amazing work but just no longer a real antique.
I wish more restorers would use powder paint. so much more satisfying to watch. also, shouldn't there be a fireproof seal between some of the sections?
Hace prodigios! Me tiene deslumbrando. No me lo puedo creer. Y no obstante lo veo. Una maravilla. Un "máster" Un prodigio. Gracias otra vez. Cepe. 🤩☺️🖐🏻.
i like listening to stuff like this as background noise when i do my homework. sometimes it sounds like i'm at the dentist getting (another) root canal
This was a beautiful restoration! My family and I have been looking for old cast iron stoves. We used to have one, but we moved and it stayed there. Ever since the power outages a coupla years ago, we have missed it. I am very jealous of your ability to weld cast iron! Very nice to see how it's done!
