Hi Guys! Thank you so much for checking out my channel! This is going to be a place of all things illustration, with studio vlogs, tutorials, draw with me videos and so much more. I hope you enjoy watching my arty journey!
Download my Step-by-Step Guide here: fizzandflourish.gumroad.com/l/pzyvrq You’ll find prompt lists, theme ideas, cute character tutorial, 12 procreate colour palettes, mini art challenge and more!
Thank you so so much for this! I feel like you explained this in such an easy to digest manner when just thinking abt it had me like 😵💫,, the template also makes it so much easier💕!!
Oh yay! I’m so glad you found it easy to follow 😆 it can be quite overwhelming so I tried to make it as simple as possible! I’m sure there’s things I’ve missed out, but hopefully this is a great place to start! Good luck! 😍
the link provided for gutermann thread in the description is same as the needle, can you provide the correct link for the thread or can you give the information about the thread you used like it's size and material. thank you for making this great tutorial!
Oh whoops! Thanks for noticing! Here’s the link: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001AQOM7K/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_7DTFDF9815413FJG04MA?linkCode=ml2&tag=fizzandflouri-21
This video was very informative ! I'm not searching for a manufacturer at all but maybe some day for my custom bullet journals. The tipps will for sure be helpful if i reach that point some day :D
Hey! In what way? Because I use a sewing machine? I’m still hand making the item, just using a sewing machine 😊 if I was to hand make clothing I think using a sewing machine would still be classed as handmade - you wouldn’t expect people to hand sew a dress together 😆
Yes when printing it’s usually CMYK - you can’t print in RGB unfortunately. RGB is for monitors and displays so it’s much brighter. When printing, I open my canvas in photoshop in a CMYK canvas, and tweak the colour settings to get them as close to the RGB as possible (usually by increasing the saturation and vibrancy). If you use a manufacturer, they will almost always use CMYK. The colours are definitely duller but tweaking them can help
Because the second manufacturer was cheaper overall. The first one cost $131 for 50 units including shipping, and the second manufacturer costs $97.50 total including shipping :)
I just love watching your videos! I just pledged on Kickstarter! I'm so glad your getting back into the swing of things and congratulations on the twins! 🩷
I haven’t used them myself so I couldn’t comment I’m afraid - maybe it’s something I’ll look into and add it to my list of options! It’s great to have multiple options ❤️
I thiiiink I got this from my husbands toolbox 🤣 not helpful at all I know, he’s had it for years so no idea where it’s originally from! I’ll do some digging…
Is there a reason you aren't just using a vector program? Like illustrator So the image can be sized up or down as big or small as possible without losing resolution or becoming pixelated. And if I remember correctly, you could put a pixel image into illustrator and convert it to a vector image.
Hey! I’d always thought that you couldn’t achieve the same textured and traditionally realistic look with vector - I could be totally wrong though because the last time I tried was years ago! I always thought vector worked well for certain styles but not when trying to get a traditional look (and when importing paintings etc). But will definitely give it a go if it’s an option 😍
Another tip that you haven't mentioned about scaling I thought I would mention: scaling looks nicer if it's halved or doubled, rather than something that isn't a nice clean fraction which contributes to blurring. If you know your final output size, you can make your canvas size twice, or four, or eight times that. Notice how my scale suggestions are an exponent of two.
Thanks for the tip! I’m not sure how many times scaled the canvas is exactly, but this is the size recommended by manufacturers so I think it’s as high res as possible. Great tip about it being an exponent of two though - didn’t know that!
You could use Adobe Fresco, and use the vector brushes, and then it automatically goes into photoshop. Vector keeps the resolution no matter what size it becomes. I learned Procreate until I learned about Fresco, which is free without ads, and with your photoshop membership, you get a lot more brushes.
Oh thank you, I’ll definitely have a go! I always thought that vector meant you couldn’t achieve paint like brushes (and I’m quite picky about my brushes 😆) but it’s probably improved a lot since I tried a vector program so I’ll have a look into it and see if that’s something I could use in future! 😍
@@fizzandflourish Yes, the number of vector brushes are greatly reduced vs. their water or oil brushes, but I just practice the comic book shading to make it look better.
As a mom of two with work caused mental health issues… I relate but sadly have no windows or she shed… I’m in a basement so I used garage level 400 Walt led daylight bulbs to get fake sunlight. It’s super bright so now I have use less light when I paint so I have clamped lamps on top of it all lol. I have started a RU-vid channel (not this account I try to keep my work separate) have learned I suck at video making lol 😂 I am enjoying your channel, thank you :)
I think the important thing is to work with what we’ve got! I’m already melting in the garden office but the curtains are working wonders and an industrial fan is keeping me cool! I knew there would be down sides but it’s all about improvising! I think with video making you have to love it because it takes such a long time 😅 maybe one day I’ll be able to get an editor 😂 I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel! I’m trying my hardest to get consistent again but my twins are still teeny so not putting pressure on myself 😍
Thanking the Algorith. for letting this video to show up on my suggested videos. I sooo want to do stuff to sell at some point. Stickers, pins and now washitapes too...I just never get around to actually do them lol But this I so wanna try out, at least for myself, so thank you so much for the video
Aw I’m so glad the algorithm found you too! I’m going to be posting more tutorial videos like like in the future so keep an eye out! Next video is about manufacturing them and hopefully that will be ready by Monday! I’ve got so many things I want to make too, but they also seem to be things I never get around to! Maybe this year is the year…😆😍
RGB is lovely, I agree. It's designed for monitors and screens, uses white as the toner. CMYK you're right dulls, that's because printers use black ink. Pity the printing industry hasn't worked a way to use white instead of black.
You're right, you'd think there would be a way by now to print RGB! I just find the colours so much more vibrant. I never knew the white and black ink part though - learn something new every day! Thanks!
Printers can't work in RGB. It's due to physics. There are two diffrent types of colour mixing, addative and subtractive. Addative colour mixing is possible when you add more light to crate colour, i.e. when you put up RGB lighting. You start with black, aka no light as your base colour and add diffrent coloured LEDs to create diffrent colours. However most objects don't emmit light, they can only reflect it. That's where subtractive colour mixing happens. When you are drawing in a sketchbook for example you start with a white page, that's capable of reflecting the whole spectrum. By adding dyes you are restiricting the wavelengths that can be reflected from the page, therefore subtracting light to mix colours. Everthing that dosn't emmit light will never be able to work with an RGB colour profil. And everthing that emmits light can never use CMYK. Technically screens don't use CMYK, they can only approximate it. That's why you should always do hard proofs before commiting to a large print run, there could still be slight diffrences between what you see an screen and what shows up in the finished product, because of the diffrent types of colour mixing. And by the way: The printing industry has worked out a way to pint with white ink. That's why it's possible to print on coloured surfaces. But why would you use white ink to print on white surfaces?
Ahahaha this made me laugh! 😆 unfortunately no he doesn’t, I’ll have to educate him! I actually worked on outlander in the costume department so I definitely should be requesting this, then I can pretend he’s Jamie 😆 (I assume you’ve got that reference from outlander!)
Hi i tried to make one of this but unfortunately my Cricut machine wont cut inside the sheet, it only cut outside the background sheet not in each sticker. Can someone help me?
