Peak German motoring and engineering. This was really the most magical era of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. After that, it went downhill and never recovered. The more they added to them, the worse the overall experience got with cars. Personally, I much prefer something simple and bulletproof over all the modern bullshit in vehicles.
maybe its cos im a 90s kid, maybe its just nostalgia, but seeing one on the road nowadays always brings a warm delight. to me this is the best looker from the sonderklasse family. an edifice of a world that i grew up in that no longer exists.
