I just wanted to share my love of cars with the world. I will have car show highlights, car club stuff and any projects or mods on my 2016 Charger Scat Pack, 1968 Plymouth GTX, and my wife's 2018 SRT Durango. I am based in central Virginia so if you are in the area say hi. Also please follow along with my Carnivore Journey.
@Bucky327 Im looking at hydro dipping my valve covers and stuff like in the video at the .40 sec spot. Im a medically retired Air Force Vet and I found a really cool film I want to hydro dip some of my plastics with under the hood. Was it fairly easy to do. Thanks in advance.
It takes a little practice. I would test out on something other than your main pieces before going right to them. Get some small junk plastic pieces, clean and paint them. Then test dipping. Most engine pieces on our engines can by dipped in large totes. Water needs to be right temperature, use enough activator spray, all that kinda stuff.
@@Bucky327 Thanks ill have to give it a try before I do the big stuff. I just purchased a 21' SRT Durango and was looking at something like that and I came acrossed your video it looks good.
Looks sick. Question, why didn’t you get the hell cart intake connecter with the lower box while you had the bumper off? I seen a couple of dudes that did it, only 150 bucks too to make it functional.
Make sure you have a good filtration system and heater. As long as you can maintain the proper temps and filter the water you should be good. It’s all trial and error so have fun with it.
@@Bucky327 Thanks..I'm going to need 8 of those mats just to get my stock height car into my driveway:). Basically the gutter is too low in front of my driveway which causes my car to bottom out on the sidewalk..what a pain.
Cory Matlock this was at DTP just a Dyno pull, it was a group rate as our club was there for it. The Dyno pulls were $60 here. I would check National Speed in Richmond
I'm up here in NOVA (Loudoun County)...how do I join the club and are you going to the November show in Vienna Va...??? I sent a message on the FB page but haven't heard back...

I have found a film at the Southern Hydrographics website that I would really like to transfer to a set of rims for my truck. The problems are: 1) I've never done anything like it before, though I do have a general understanding of the process (I think), and 2) I am unable to get an important question about their film answered as they have no published web address. I can deal with #1 but need help still with #2, and I am hoping you could step in and answer it - Knowing that the film is sold in 19" width, is it at all possible to use in hydro dipping a 16" rim with a shallow depth (that is, the opposite of a deep dish wheel)? BTW...nice dipping! Makes me wonder if my dash is safe from my tinkering.
Steven Russell personally I have never done wheels. But if I were to try it I would go to a junk yard and buy an old rim. Clean it paint it and practice dipping on it before going on. My other thought is maybe the 19 inch wide film may not be enough material for a 16 inch wheel. But again only way is to try it.
