We grow 100 acres of fruit and vegetable crops in Northwest LA along the Red River in Dixie,LA. This channel will show you all the work and steps it takes to produce our crops. You can follow along throughout the growing season. Farmers feed this nation and the world and we are honored to be a very small part of that. In John 6:35, Jesus said “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.”
On the wrong show , watching this morning for first time, on sowing cover crop, if you can rig up a light wt roller behind plow, you get lot better ssed contact,
I've been doing this for years but I've always done 4 minutes for the first ear and then add 2 minutes for each additional ear. I think 8 minutes for 2 would be too long. Just an FYI, good video though.
Excuse me, but how do you wash it? A lot of farmers spray their corn and I don't want to eat it unless it's washed good. Also, worms love corn if it isn't sprayed, and I don't want to cook worms with my corn.
Do you have a problem with sweet corn not pollinating good in the heat? Also do you blossom end rot on your tomatoes? We are in a heat wave in eastern NC and drought!!
We finish up sweet corn around this time every year because of the heat. It pollinates fine usually. If not, then we don’t pick it. We do not have blossom end rot on tomatoes. Our soils are high in calcium and we stay on a daily consistent watering schedule. Blossom end rot is caused by either low calcium or inconsistent watering.
