This channel has a few videos I made when was younger...nothing special (unless you consider shitty Windows Movie Maker experiments to be an art form). XD
May irregularly upload pieces of niche media (mostly audio) I believe are worth uploading.
after the events of the movie multiple expeditions took place on the island. not only did they find prehistoric flora and fauna long since thought extinct they also found that Kong was truly the last of his kind and that humanity was responsible for the extinction of the 8th wonder of the world himself. in 1948 another expedition was scheduled to the island but before they can land an earthquake measuring 9.2 on the Richter scale sunk the island which had for thousands of years already been on its last legs causing not only the island to forever disappear from our world but also every exotic species which had adapted fully to the island to sink beneath the depths forever.
Kong’s first arrival at the gates is a pivotal moment of the storyline. Until that point you have survived along with your crew, with Engelhorn’s plane flying over your head now and then. Crabs are scary, scolopendras are super scary, but you’re killing them as a team, and you feel strong. Everything is taken away from you after Kong is leaded towards the gates. Your gun has been stolen. Ann is with Kong in the jungle, Hayes and Jimmy are nowhere to be found, Engelhorn can’t follow your steps anymore. Only Carl is there to accompany your journey. And as you escape the natives in a frantic sequence, with tribal drums banging like your heartbeat, you finally reach the edge of the jungle and realize something. YOU ARE ALONE. This music perfectly captures this feeling. It’s scary in a subtle way, eerie, melancholic. The natives are hostile, but at the same time, they didn’t kill you or Ann or anyone else. They’re humans after all, and treat you like a prisoner. But after you enter the dense nature of the island, you won’t be facing another human anymore, you won’t feel again the cozy warmth of a tribal torch, you won’t find a single gun for a while. You are completely alone inside a dark, humid, abandoned territory, where wildlife absolutely wants to devour you without thinking twice. And in fact, this is when two of the most frightening creatures of the game first appear, the Velociraptor and the Venatosaurus.
I always almost cried when i heard this as a kid. This was so emotional it's insanely good. It's sad, gives you creeps, makes you imagine all sorts of things that could happen in a place that looks depresing as the 2005 Skull island. i'd kiss the female singer if i could, she really had a voice of diamonds when she did this.
Those vocals combined with the winds that you hear sweeping through the ruins creates such a wonderful atmosphere for me. Haven't played the game in so many years but this melody has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
James Newton Howard's score for the film was breathtaking, but Chance Thomas somehow managed to write a score that was equally as negaging and musical, and didn't force you to compare it to the film score. Hats off!
As a Gen 2 hunter(only learned of what games are considered parts of what gen as of yesterday. My first game was freedom unite on psp) I can relate aswell. Of course with it becoming mainstream it brings along all the man children gamers who are like Pokemon Blue is better than pokemon Silver and vice versa in every which way a combination of these things can be made. And I’m just over here like “I like all of them why do yall have to make such a big deal outta it.” The only thing I’m actually somewhat salty about is how the mobile version of Freedom Unite is no longer being updated for new iOS versions and was pronounced dead in the water with that update on my phone. Time to break out the psp again assuming I can find it in storage.
Not a 1st Gen Hunter but I do ge t a similar feeling as a 3rd Gen-only difference I guess is I like of them, they're just different in almost incomparable ways at some point hence the bias between them I guess
"Wirebug? You were supposed to take those out of the game" "Sorry here's another one" "What's this feature, rules for playing online?" "What a pity Mr Hunter" "What?! Well, it was Capcom's fault, I didn't lose, I never lose!"
They really need to make a remake of this game but I'm guessing it's kind of hard because it would have to get the likeness rights to all the actors all over again. This was really honestly a one-of-a-kind movie to game adaptation The genuine fear I had as a kid against the raptors cannot be replicated.
After all we've been through with Kong trying to get all the high scores for each mission, it really bummed me out to know that he dies in the end. After grinding all the levels and turning into demon slayer to get all the points, it was so satisfying to get this secret ending
This game is actually so good that o bought 2 copies of this amazing game i had. One copy but i bought on more because its amazing. 🗺️🗾🛳️ 🛶🛥️ 🌃🌇🌆🏙️ 🦍🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦕🦖🦖🦖🦖 👍
Man seriously fuck this level. Why did you have to make me dodge bronto feet and fight raptors that come out from the fog 💀. Can't you just make fire from flint and steel?? 😭
