This game was truly something special. I played a lot of video games based on movies as a kid. Still to this day King Kong is the only one I(personally) can call good. Such an awesome game
Back then I always felt like the only movie based games that were actually good were usually the ones that had dinosaurs in it. Jurassic Park and King Kong.
That frustrated me for about a good 20 minutes before I was able to bash two of them and then take the first one out quickly. Then the other two slowly, but surely died at my hands, but they sure did put up a fight. Like you that, this game holds great memories for me too.
righthandstep5 i hated the t-rex part it took me ages to do it but when u do it once its easy to do it like 8 more times either way the game was brilliant and will always hold a place in my memories along with godfather 1 the game
I just replayed the game in 2019 in december. And let me tell you... Oh My God...my whole Childhood Was Revived... Best game based on a Movie. Ever...the Aladdin & The Lion King game goes second place At This Point.
Man it was so awesome when it's revealed you can play as kong The roars and sounds were on point, I think with today's technology it could look just like the movie
This makes me wonder if a great Jurassic Park game could be made if it was modeled after this (and maybe some elements of "Alien: Isolation"). Do you think you would enjoy playing a Jurassic Park game that has levels based on the events of all four movies, with you normally playing as Grant/Malcolm/Grady and roaming through the environments, while escaping or surviving various predators and interacting with different herbivores. Instead of switching between Jack and Kong, you would switch between levels that involve playing as a human and as a T-Rex. The Tyrannosaurus Rex levels would be a lot like the Kong levels, where you have a similar variety of attacks and can do things like hunt prey, fend off small pests like Dilophosaurs/Velociraptors/Pteranodons/Ingen's Hunters, battle large rivals that can only be killed by finishing moves or being sent off a cliff (like Allosaurus/Triceratops/Stegosaurus/Spinosaurus), rampage through San Diego, etc. The final level will be the climax of Jurassic World, where you must first fight the Indominus Rex as a human, with firearms, raptors, etc. before the T-Rex is finally released and you play as Rexy one more time, to defeat the Indominus, battling it in a similar way as Kong would fight a Vastatosaurus Rex.
Gta Fan Banned i managed to get it for xbox but u can't trust xbox and the day after i got it i got the red ring of death... now i just have the game but no console :(
(Game Score: Kong) Composer Commentary by Chance Thomas on Fury and Heroics: "Here's where the threads of Kong's score really start to come together. Kong rushes in to rescue Ann from two enormous dinosaurs. A colossal battle ensues with everything at stake. It is a visually stunning scene, hands down the most riveting I've ever seen in a console game. The score takes the epic approach outlined in excerpt #1 above and ties it to Kong's tragic hero theme. By this point in the game, synchronicity kicks in and the score starts playing the player, inexplicably intensifying the experience beyond the visceral level. There's also an important and tender moment at the end of this piece. Kong comes face-to-face with Ann as she realizes that he has saved her, waging a deleterious battle simply to preserve her life."
Kong is one of my favorite childhood movies and video games . 2005 was my favorite year . Big movies and very exciting events . But seeing King Kong was one of my favorite childhood memories. The game Made a big impact on my life
This was a great game. one of the few movie adapted games that was actually better than the movie. i remember dragging out the V-Rex fights to make them more epic. ah....middle school.
Slight spoiler alert: I remember unlocking the alternative ending and thinking it was going to end the same, until Jack comes flying in and this theme started playing!
Man I remember me my brother my cousin and his brother used to play the shit out of this back in 2009 I used to get so scared getting chased by the dinos as a human
