I had a Doctor V64 growing up. It's basically a third party dev kit whith a cd-rom drive, which played p̵i̵r̵a̵t̵e̵d̵ roms from a disk. I had many japanese games to play as a kid. This one as well.

I know I'm commenting on a 2 year old video, but I figured I'd mention that the earthquake meter doesn't just build over time, it's based on how much land you have. Place a bunch of uppers and the meter goes up, get downers to hit a lot of raised land and the meter goes down. I think this mechanic is to stop you from just making walls so insanely high that water spilling over could never be a concern.

i beat super hard as a kid, nobody warns you how hard the 2d mode is actually esp when you test 3d modes before going in to 1p its such a hard game probably on par with some of the games that are bad cause of bugs. but its cause its a long lasting game. u arent supposed to normally get through it in one go.

I remember repeatedly renting from a local video rental place a ps1 game that was very similar to this, though it was much more orthographic. You attacked air vs ground targets with different weapons. My brain wants to say something like thunderbird or warbird lightning or something, but that doesn't even make sense because helicopters aren't usually associated with birds? I dunno. This is definitely bringing back memories of a completely different game.
