Ever wonder if your full size rig can handle 4x4 offroad trails? When we started testing our 2022 F150 Ford Tremor's off road capabilities, we realized there was almost no available trail info for full size off road and overland trails. We started filming trails to share trail info with other full size vehicle owners. That is how Tremor Trails was born! Since then, we have learned a ton about overland gear, gone through needed modifications as we've tackled more challenging trails and have built a couple of overland RTT camping set ups. This channel chronicles our journey. We invite you to join us!
Excuse me while I regain my self after laughing. YOU had lockers engaged for that climb? Yes, steeper than appearing but no way does it require lockers. Maybe it is a Ford thing, but never needed any for a H3 or a Frontier. Might want to stick to flatland. Low gearing...yes, up and down. I guess living in Idaho now for many moons and traveling these trails I have learned how to do them without lockers.
You're so hardcore. I wish you held a class so we could all learn how incredible you are at driving your Frontier. I mean, it's totally a competition out here on RU-vid for who the baddest big dick mf there is, and by God you have my vote! If only more studs like you existed in this world we won't even have to bother with overlanding our own vehicles. Hell no! We could all ride on your big balls while you pulled us up the mountain in your Nissan without lockers! Incredible! Your so fn cool! Thanks for commenting. I feel so honored to have such a caliber of driver in my mere presence!
We were created to be free and to explore new things in our lives. The human being is naturally inquisitive and curious but 'society' dictates to us another path, which is essentially a deep rut. I knew from the first video I watched on your channel that you have the gift of sharing/communicating your passion for 'getting out there and exploring', it is infectious. Well done sir, well done. Keep Tremor and those cameras rolling. I'm just sayin'...bless my heart.
Dont let the ease of this trail fool you! The initial climb up, can be treacherous! My wife found out the hard way! Luckily, she was ok. A bit beat up, but ok.
Wow, the Tremor soaked up the 'trails' with only minor damage (sorry to see the Tremor got damaged). As to people being easily offended, there is a universal rule that has never been proven false: people are crazy! Your historic narratives are always entertaining and informative. The drone footage and the videography is excellent along with the background music. Keep the Tremor and those cameras rolling...ya hear?
After hours of work, it’s installed but loud noise when suspension compresses (driving over a bump). It seems that the bolt hits the metal fin from the light levelers. This is despite using the 2nd hole per the instructions. Extremely frustrating. Do you know if the 3rd hole should be used instead?
@@TremorTrails your video says « all you have to do is move the bolt one or two holes ». I can confirm that moving it one hole (to the second hole) is not enough. It’s actually enough if you have the RAS bolt that’s smashing the sensor point outward toward the wheels but it is not if you have it pointing inward like mine (because the culprit bolt goes past the nut). This is why the 2nd hole can work if you are lucky, in 50% of the cases.
The box comes with 2 sets of bolts (short and long) and say you have to pick the correct ones for the Tremor. How are you supposed to know if the Tremor needs the short or long ones?
Its a nice looking camper box. What similar product were you looking at that was 35,000.00? Why is your awning keeping the side door from opening up all the way? What size is the mattress and does the floor lift for standing room in the truck bed.
@fishingforlunker Alu-Cab, I have my traction boards on side and the mounting rack has little pins that extend. Mattress is whole top, 7 ft. Yes you can lift up the bed to stand up inside. Thanks for watching!
Just found your channel and this video is perfect because I'm coming that way in a few weeks. I live near Asheville, NC and there are a lot of National Forests around this part of the country, but I'm ready to head back out West. I've got two months to burn, a 2021 Ranger FX4 and a small teardrop trailer, so this is just what I'm looking for. You have a new subscriber.
hey thanks for making this video: quick question about the dimensions: what is the mattress platform length (not including the tilt up rear panel?). thanks!
Well, I just found your channel as I'm looking for supention ideas on my new build. Will be checking your library. Great video. Hopefully I find what I'm looking for.
@@AceRiderLA yes you have to get a permit to camp. You can't just camp on the trail. And you're not supposed to be on trail without a permit. Link in description.
Your editing of the video to match the changes in the background music added to the experience, which was a pleasure to experience vicariously. It's always great to see the Tremor in action, plenty of Tremor selfies. Hehehe...bipolar trail. Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling!
I kept feeling a little empty last week and I couldn't figure out why...then I remembered, I didn't watch a Tremor Trails video. This trail was a "Wow...Oh my word...Gasp (for the breath taking scenery)" kind of experience. I must get out there and see these for myself, got to get a Tremor...Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling! (lol--high flying cows, priceless)
This trip was a reminder that the people before us who settled the central and western portions of the US did indeed have 'very large wagon wheels' and the will to survive. You always manage to capture the feel of the trail and the area. Love the historical side that you include. Keep that Tremor and those cameras (even the flying ones) rolling!
I can't answer for you 100% what I can say is. I've had my truck at the dealer several times for warranty work and have never had an issue. I guess if my turbo went out, they might could push back. But 60k is all you get anyway. I'm unfortunately past low mileage these days.
The creating a data base idea is a very good one, gathering hopefully accurate comments on what works and what doesn't with other tire wheel combinations and lifts. Hehehe, love the beginning of the video. Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling...and definitely more cowbell.
TYVVM. Now would you help me by providing info on those hexadecimal codes and what would be the new vslues? Where would I find those new values? Mine is 23 f150 lariat high packg.
I was a Rusty Wallace fan! Jr was good too! It normally takes a year to get codes. I haven't looked in a while, so I'm not sure how much they have on the 23. That being said, from my understanding, you don't have to use codes anymore. They figured out a way to just check the boxes of the mods available.
You like to live on the edge sometimes don't you, driving and camping near the border and now driving through a bombing range, yikes! (lol) The scenery was like a scene from a post apocalyptic movie (too corny?) but had a different kind of charm and appeal. Including the historical elements is always a plus in your videos. On a side note, thank you for sharing a slice of your personal life with us and what some of your other interests are. As always, keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling!
A superb video sir (I'm running out of adjectives). Sometimes the wrong turn ends up being the right turn. I do look forward to exploring these trails for myself and I will be referring back to your videos for pointers. On a side note it's great to see the 'big dog' running with the Jeeps (nothing against Jeeps). Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling!
Thank you for a great video! Did Onion Creek twice, never heard about Hideout Canyon Trail.... I just find the overlook spot on google maps, and will be going there in 2 weeks with the wife. Can we stay overnight on the ledge? Hi from Illinois.
Thanks for the nice video. You went counterclockwise on the White Rim loop which is less common and can potentially be a problem if you meet on coming traffic on a technical section. Also you said "...each campground does have a Full bathroom, which is nice". They each have a single shitter. Any guy who sells his wife on the trip with that bad piece of information could have consequences.
Yep, I said that several times in the video. You can travel in either direction. Counter clockwise is my preferred choice 👌. True about the bathroom. A full bathroom in the middle of nowhere to me is 4 walls protected from the elements. If home dude doesn't do research before taking his wife to the middle of nowhere, that's on him :) Thanks for watching!
Your's and other RU-vid videos are the content that people consume for their research. Before I did the WR the first time I asked about the direction thing. Most people said either direction was good. That is ok for mountain bikes and motorcycles but not advisable for jeeps and trucks because of the danger on the steep technical sections.
There is no such thing as the Chiricahua National Forest. The Chiricahua National Monument and the Chiricahua Wilderness areas are in the Coronado National Forest, Douglas Ranger District. It's called Onion Saddle, not Onion Creek.
The varying rock and soil changes make for interesting scenery along the trail. The Red Cloud Mine was fascinating and thank you for including it. Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling!
Thinking about getting this camper. Looks like you kept the bedrug installed. Would you recommend having the bedrug? How did you secure the drawers to the bed? Also, after a few months of use, do you still think it’s a big upgrade from the RTT? We currently have a RTT setup.
I'm still loving it! Also, all the things they continue to do to make it better listening to us users. I prefer keeping the rug down. I simply drilled through the rug into the bed to secure the drawers. I think the biggest selling point for me is it's so much easier than the RTT and the added space is welcomed.
Thinking about putting stock Raptor wheels and tires - K02 35's (brand new take offs) on my Tremor. I have a 2" level kit on it, just the spacer. Seen some forums that say this will work with absolutely no rubbing. Anyone have any experience with this?
Hey just saw this video! Im running a raptor size tire (315/70 r17). 2.5 Level up front, falken wildpeaks, 25 offset 8.5 width rim and SPC adjustable UCA. Almost zero rubbing no trimming. Every once in a while i get a very minor rub almost not worth mentioning.
I have an elka shock on my BMW f800 back when they made motorcycle shocks. It's the best handling bike I've been on since then. Would like them on my F150 Reg Cab.
