Awesome review. Been going from topotoppers, tune m1 or the dirtbox. My primary goal is watertight and warmth, second is space. The trim on the dirtbox is excellent. I think I’m sold. Thanks for your informative work!

Awesome review. The most thorough reviews I’ve seen on any canopy camper and definitely the best review on the Dirtbox. You deserved my subscription. Two questions: 1.) You mentioned cold weather and insulation values but didn’t specify how cold the temps actually were in your scenarios. Everybody’s definition of “cold” is different. I’m in MN and want something I can use year round. Any experience in temps down to 0 degrees F? Obviously using a diesel heater in the camper. 2.). How about the opposite when using this setup in hot/humid 90+ degree weather? Ever tried any sort of portable a/c? Thanks again!
So honestly I haven't done 0. About the best I did was 24 and slept like a baby with a diesel heater. I haven't done super hot yet as I've only had the unit for about 6 months. The owner of Dirtbox actually took his to Alaska in -30 and camped in it. All in all I honestly couldn't be happier with the unit as far as comfort goes in cold Temps.
I love it. I am wondering how much additional road noise you notice from everything mounted on the exterior and if you notice a fuel economy difference?
I lost about a mile per gallon. As far as noise. It's not much louder then without it. A little bit of wind noise but nothing overwhelming or what I would consider major. You can still talk and listen to the radio without having to turn it up or scream.
So many great videos on wedge campers, this is one of the best! My only question is, why there is no video on how to afford one? Nothing like adding more debt to my build, truck payment, lift tire payment, and now no money for gas. Don't forget to add $12k to your insurance policy

Thinking about getting this camper. Looks like you kept the bedrug installed. Would you recommend having the bedrug? How did you secure the drawers to the bed? Also, after a few months of use, do you still think it’s a big upgrade from the RTT? We currently have a RTT setup.
I'm still loving it! Also, all the things they continue to do to make it better listening to us users. I prefer keeping the rug down. I simply drilled through the rug into the bed to secure the drawers. I think the biggest selling point for me is it's so much easier than the RTT and the added space is welcomed.
Not sure if I missed the dimensions from east to west, can you measure that for me please? I'm assuming it would be the same width as one for a super duty.
I am about 90% sold on this product. Going from an RTT set up, my question is how difficult is it to get out of the bed and get outside to relieve yourself at 2 am without waking up your wife? In the RTT, it was unzipping the canvas and cimbing down a ladder. This seems to be a bit more involved.
I'd say it's about the same. I get up sometimes in the night and don't wake up my wife. You lift the short lip, climb down, then open tailgate. In my RTT, I always woke her up cause I had to turn around to get out and then climb down. But our RTT was on the smaller side.
Ok. Just when I thought I could save some money this month and not buy any overlanding gear. Now this?! 😂😂 Great job on the review. These companies need to send you a bunch of $$$ for basically selling their product to an audience that might not otherwise ever see such things reviewed so well.
