You mentioned that you grew up playing in church. Are you still in church? I noticed that most of the blues legends grew up playing or singing in church and most of them died young, I guess because the gift they got for God they used it for the world not giving glory to the Giver. I know it's scary stuff but true.
Hi Kirk. Just want to let you know that you are a huge inspiration for me. Thanks for all the Music you brought to the world. Good to see you back. Stay healthy 💪 I count on you to make great Music for many more years.
Hello Kirk,Which guitar did you play in "aint no cure for the downhearted" from your album MY BLUES PATHWAY? Its a Fender custom shop? And which is your setup, amps and guitars in that album? I LOVE that album Thankyou ❤
Hello Kirk, In writting to you from Spain I would like to ask you a question please, Its about which guitar did you play in "aint no cure for the downhearted" from your album MY BLUES PATHWAY? And which is your setup, amps and guitars in that album? The sound remembers me a stratocaster, But its an original strat or Fender custom shop model? I LOVE that album! Thank you for your help BEST Regards 0:24
I like the guitar licks lam a 71yrs young guitar player still learning it a great hobby, l was drafted in the Vietnam Era couldn't take my guitar with me lol
I know it's 2 years in the future here but that's true about too much info. Because back in the day you might be a fan of one and his or her predecessor and you would be inherently apart of that lineage simply from style of play. So if I like skip James, muddy waters, and Fred McDowell of course there is some over lap but that's 3 wildly different styles.
Hahaha...yeah just had my sg out doing some old favourites as various bar chords as per a similar video I watched by yourself....and was wondering about the fact I had never seen you with an sg. Then this popped up 😂
Kirk! You are simply the best! I have watched your video here twice now and not only are you a REAL BLUES MAN but I enjoy every second. You are a hell of a storyteller, always a pleasure to listen to you talk in your smooth and calm tone of voice about yourself, your gear, and not least, hear you play the blues! The world wouldn't be the same without you. May God bless you my brother. <3
Really likeable guy! Also, a great player!! Explaining is not so your department, I guess😜 Most definitely, you need to RE-do this Video again! BUT then with a BETTER Camera-positioning, so your viewer could see the left AND right hand separately. As such: much explaining won't be necessary. At least it would have been GREAT if you could RE-DO it again?.
