Kirk, I took a buddy to see you perform in LA. He’s a guitarist, not familiar with your work at the time. He didn’t wanna go. I told him, this guy can make even the simplest basic melody sound so good”. I damn near dragged him there. Anyways, you and the band came out, you grabbed a tele and played like 3 simple notes to start the first song. My buddy looks at me and says “oh shit….” He’s a fan of yours now. There's an edge of breakup there which is Awesome, but so many guys to me put too much overdrive on it, and don't have the stones to play it clean, and they miss what a great clean tone that you can get out of that guitar.
