I mean your complaining spells are hard while running around with like 0 poise 0 armor… like I understand you prefer melee as I do too but spells break this game, there’s an option for almost any enemy and late game you just melt bosses. Anyways put some armor on so every time your hit you don’t fall on the ground while casting.
For a lot of spells they kinda just work on weapons or builds where you gonna have that stat anyways, I did an ordovas great sword build for a play through and I had a solid amount of faith, so I had frenzy burst for bosses who start far away to do chip damage,(and killing annoying over world enemy’s without actually fighting them) for me its a yeah why not it’s super niche and won’t happen much but it happens and is helpful when it does.

I started a lightning only run and i can confirm lightning strike hits the enemy half the time amd the other half of the time it misses, it sucks so bad

DMC4 has an ice level as basically their second zone, which is indicative that they were at a loss of ideas at that early in the game. So much so that more than half of the game is you basically going back all the other levels you did again (the other games had you revisit earlier areas, but with more clever twists on them, with other connections and so forth, 4 went and "the same thing as first time, only reverse", revolutionary).

So according to the wiki, the artist who lived in that shack saw the final moments before death stopped. One angle is that knight is there attempting to get information from either the artist or from Miriel. Another angle is that the knight was hunting down the last vestiges of the blasphemous larval tears seeing as how leyndell has been wanting to wipe caria and the albunarics off the map for some time. But here’s why that knight is stuck there …he couldn’t figure out the riddle of the painting and just stood there trying to figure it out until time had lost his mind completely.
