An excellent video!!! BUT: since years i believe there is a wrong explanation given: we cant separate amps from voltage in a lagging or advancing shift-> i cant have a river with flowing water driving a water wheel to generate power (width river=amps, river flow speed=volts): there are zero amps flowing if there is no water flow(zero volts), so it turns into a lake and no water wheel is driven. There is also consequently no power driving the water wheel if the river bed is wide, but not filled across the width with water, so therefore there cant be any flow(zero voltage)-> you cant separate the 2 units from another!!! SO my theory: there are 2 voltages and two amperages, the one from the power source, and the induced "delayed" voltage and amperage inside the inductive load, THEY ARE BOTH LAGGING TO EACH OTHER! So the graph with one sinusoidal voltage and amperage curve is the wrong representation! It needs to be shown 4 curves!- another prove of my theory: take suddenly the power source away, the stored energy within the inductive load surges back and even can destroy switching transistors of a motor controller, therefore we need "freewheeling" diodes to eat and disapate the surge (up to 12x Higher than rhe initial voltage); so we indeed talk about a voltage and current from the power supply AND the own indictor stored voltage and amperage. The capacitor can suck that up and discharge that during the upcoming following cycle from the power supply, so the reactive useless power get stored until it can be "injected" back into the grid/ load. Please internet, respond!!😂

What media are you using, I'm not having a lot of luck with my harbor freight sand blast cabinet. I have a 7 hp compressor, so plenty of air. I upgraded to a foot petal, and a better blast gun. Still it is not doing much with surface rust on sheet metal.

Thank you Chuck. Most are all SPC (Stupid People Caused). With the increase of people living in the rural areas thus more fires. The quite a lot of fires in our area this year, very few were lightning strikes. The one on 7/4/24 that almost burnt town was somebody running a lawnmower in tall dry grass. Just asking for a fire.

The only problem I see with the auto start is starting it under load. All the online electricians get up in arms when they see that. In order for the auto start to be useful you would have to have everything plugged in and waiting to hit the start button.
@RRINTHESHOP
@RRINTHESHOP Месяц назад
Well I would say don't believe everything online. I was a Chief Engineer Marine Engineer for 27 yrs, onboard Oil Tankers (Ships). I have started dozens of emergency generators set with energized loads, with no problems. Yes I do understand the reasons these online folks say not to do it (low voltage and high current at startup). This is usually only for 1-2 seconds. Most equipment can handle this (motors/lighting), some electronics may not. I would recommend having as small a load as possible at startup, a refrigerator/freezer/lights. Not A/C units. This is intended for emergency use, thus emergency essential items. After the generator is running you can add more load. Thank you for watching.

I usually take note of the dial where I'm at, then when pulling back I pull back so the number is the same, e.g. If the reading is say 30 before I pull back, I turn it anti-clockwise back to 30 (360 degrees) so I know where I was at, if I need to go back in but only a bit and I knew it was 30, I turn it clockwise back to 30 and run it to see in case of the worm being out, then I go in to say 31 or 32 or whatever. FYI, you must keep the RPM on the lathe the same at all times, making it go faster may make your item push out at the tip/end due to the centrifugal force, especially if it's a long piece, this may cause one end to be smaller at the outward part and bigger close to the jaws even if you use a live center I've noticed, it might only be one thousands or more but it will matter if you want to be as accurate as possible.

It was what Westinghouse supplied for me to test out and give a review. The st switch is simple and easy. I have a Generac now with auto transfer works great. Thank you for stopping in.

Since it was not flat/warpped, I just had to average out the the reading in x and y. Get it as flat as you can. This worked out so to remove as little as possible. I have since done the other side also. Both are holding up and I have not had to touch them since. Thanks for stopping in.

I decided to follow suit, seeing how I’ve been wanting to put a drive on my Z but just couldn’t pull the trigger but after watching your video I figured I would notify Aikrondro of the make and model of my mill hoping to not have to go through the extent of modifications you had too. I specifically asked them, “is everything supplied to mount this to this mill?” Their response was “yes” so I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Well not only does the extension not work “inside thread diameter is too large on their extension” but the bearing flange is not even close to what mine is. Mine has the bearing mounted, attached to the flange in one piece. Also my clutch handle has 7 cogs and the one they supply has 9 so I reached out to them and at first they replied no problem we are here to help, after telling them all the problems they dropped your name and said see how Randy Richard’s addressed the problems and then ghosted me so I filed a merchant complaint with PayPal and my Discover card to return and refund, guess what I got an immediate response! Aikrondro emailed me “if you want to return it you need to pay postage to China” heck I already paid postage from China to the U.S. Their offer of help is to either purchase more items from a company here in the States or manufacture them myself! Look I’m a machinist and I don’t mind fabricating a few items for a custom job but the only thing that I purchased that I can actually use is the motor and the brass gear. I’m not wanting to sound like I’m venting on your forum, I’m just trying to help others be aware of what they might run into going this route. I figured I’d have to make a few mods but to build everything but the motor and I’ll have to buy another crank handle that matches the clutch they sent. Are they giving you this stuff? I hope not. I like watching your vids but for them to drop your name. Integrity, honesty, quality and to stand on what you offer. Is it right to sell a product once to a thousand people or to have a 100 people return a 100 times? I was planning on purchasing one of their DRO’s but I’m a firm believer in burn me once shame on you burn me twice shame on me! Happy turning

Hi, just found your channel and though I’m aware you are mostly metal work (?) I did notice on the video that found my feed that you have the Delta unifence such as I have. So a random question-have you done anything in particular as a work around to the unique design of the fence that can make it difficult to attach clamps, jigs, etc. to it? (Due to the slide aspect getting in the way) I did a search through your past videos and nothing jumped out at me regarding that (though I found plenty to revisit!) Thanks if anything to offer on that front.
