To those of you who never seen Patti LaBelle live you have missed a real treat I seen her in the 90s I went to a show on Saturday and went back the next day she did a better job I thought she would be hoarse but the next day she sang even better and harder I was impressed what a treat a blessing from God a real blessing Patti LaBelle from today is wonderful and appreciated but 90s Patti LaBelle oh my God live performances never disappoint.😊

I think that people overlook her, because of the way she sings. It can be very loud, jarring, and animated, and that is probably why she has not had the success of Aretha or Dionne. Personally speaking, I love her.

1999....REALLY...!? Sustained high belts, perfectly controlled vibrato, clear tone, no distortion or roughness... I honestly would have guessed this was 1994-96 "prime era" Whitney if I wasn't told the date. She was ON FIRE that night, and in tip top vocal shape! I wonder if she quite smoking or got clean while on MLIYL tour, because her voice here was way, way better than on her 1998 European tour. 1999 was a brief "second prime" for her and proves her voice could blossom again in the right conditions...
