Honestly I think Inside Out has the potential to be the next Ice Age level series in terms of high quality with small scale tv content and a big finale! Hate me for enjoying Ice Age 4 and 5, but at least Blue Sky had a plan for that series!
I disagree that the Minions movie was unfocused. They story was focused on them finding a new leader. They just happened to travel to a bunch of places along the way. They needed to go to villain con to meet Scarlet Overkill. Their going to a villain con makes sense because they want to find a new leader and that place has lots of villains.
That’s a good point, I was more so meaning unfocused in terms of Bob becoming King of England in comparison to what came before; it felt like a jarring shift to me. But if I could edit it, I would just use the word “chaotic” instead because I think it fits better.
@@DonJames268 I think it was supposed to be to give opportunities for gags. Also Scarlet's main motivation was she wanted the crown and the minions were easily able to get it.
Blue Sky didn't get greedy. It was Fox who wanted more Ice Age, because they want to make money. the people at Blue Sky feel fed up and overwhelmed of carrying on making more of the sequels. The people at Pixar didn't enjoy making Toy Story 4, in which Disney ordered them to do so. Universal is doing the same to DreamWorks by carrying on with Shrek.
I’d love to see any links or additional info that you have on that 👍🏾. I haven’t found evidence that 20th century Fox pressured or mandated any sequels from Blue Sky
Here are all my ranking of all Pixar Sequels including a Prequel! D-Tier 9. Incredibles 2 8. Cars 2 7. Toy Story 4 A-Tier 6. Finding Dory S-Tier 5. Cars 3 4. Monsters University 3. Toy Story 2 2. Toy Story 3 1. Inside Out 2
@@DonJames268 Monsters University is the Treasure Planet of Pixar cause both of them are the greatest underrated masterpieces of their respective studios.
Toy Story Shrek Ice Age Madagascar Kung Fu Panda Despicable Me SpongeBob SquarePants The franchises that got 4 movies. And from what I heard Frozen will also join that club.
In my own true honest opinion of the lowest ranking movie after a triumphant trilogy that was the first trio. It is the 4th one. The main breakdown of the movie was done by on the channel of gamingmagic13. That in full explains my view.
I really hope Toy Story 5 is Nothing like Ice Age collision course But hey at least The plot For Toy Story 5 Sounds way better Then the plot for Ice Age Collision course Because Toy’s vs electronics Sounds more cooler then animals Save the world by Stopping a Asteroid that’s basically the Story of Ice Age Collision course but Also What makes Me feel better is that they are having Andrew Stanton Direct it Since he made Finding Nemo which Is one of my favorite Pixar movies ever and He Made Wall-e as which is Another Really Good Pixar movie So I Trust That Guy
I thought it best when someone said, “Toy Story 3 ended Andy's story. Toy Story 4 ended it with Woody's story.” Thereby it goes to say, Toy Story 5 _will_ end Buzz's story. After that, there isn't much story left to tell, especially with its main characters. All will have found their happy ending by then.
I mean, it‘s Disney/Pixar we‘re talking about…, people thought they would milk the Inside Out franchise with the sequel and yet that sequel just became the highest grossing animated film of all time and will soon pass Jurassic World to become the 8th highest grossing film of all time… I personally can‘t imagine Toy Story becoming the next Ice Age, cause Pixar movies usually are high quality movies that the general public enjoys and people always look forward to new Disney/Pixar sequels even if they may not be as good as their original film…🤷♂️ Finding Dory: 1.02B Toy Story 3: 1.06B Toy Story 4: 1.07B Incredibles 2: 1.24B Frozen II: 1.45B Inside Out 2: 1.67B And I‘m sure Moana 2, Zooptopia 2, Toy Story 5, Frozen III, The Incredibles 3 and Frozen IV will follow this Disney/Pixar pattern of grossing a BILLION dollars at the global box office. Plus, the general premise of Toy Story 5 already sounds quite exciting to me.🤷♂️
Yeah I do expect most of the announced sequels to make over $1 billion also, including TS5. But man am I glad that Inside Out 2 overtook the Lion King remake as the highest grossing animated movie! 😃
@@DonJames268 Same. I did enjoy the remake for what it is, but it still did not deserve to earn all that money imo, even tho I think the photorealistic animation is really impressive. I'm looking forward to Mufasa The Lion King this December. I hope the story is going to be well told and doesn't influence the original film in a negative way🤞
Could the Shrek franchise also become the next Ice Age in your opinion, since the Shrek franchise also consists of multiple films and is about to release a fifth installment in 2026? And the reviews on those films were overall mediocre as well so far.🤷♂️
I was thinking about whether Shrek was more applicable than Ice Age, but Puss in Boots 2 is the most recent film in the franchise and that movie is considered a masterpiece and one of the best in the franchise. So at the moment, I think Shrek could be hinting at a revival rather than a gradual decline.
I think just ending Toy Story after the 3rd movie was better bc it had at least a perfect ending and they could have made spinoffs or shorts after that
Even though I liked TS4, I’m starting to think that stopping at 3 may have been the better choice. It feels like so many franchises can’t just be a satisfying trilogy anymore. 🤷🏾♂️ But hey at least we have the dark knight and HTTYD trilogies (for now)!
@@DonJames268in order for toy story to end for good 5 needs to flop hard if we want toy story to end we can do so by not going to see it in theatres ir post anything about it online or RU-vid like keep quiet lower the controversy till after it gets dvd/bluray realease and don't by it
This is scaring me 'cause KUNG FU PANDA seems to be heading in the same path, first 3 movies were great and the 4th one was at best mid. if they mess up that franchise, we're all doomed!
