Lil Kevin not only set this kid up for failure once but twice. It would’ve been left like that if Randy just gave the message. He would’ve not known about the murders. Kevin then came back and told him what really happened. That gave the option of Randy telling in the office. Granted it’s a pure 50/50 on the last strike because when I got some in school, I wasn’t out here hiring lookouts. That’s just too bold of a move. Randy still had that choice of saying no and waiting for his snack appointment. Those 3 things took it south for him. Just shows that what you do reflects on others and when you’re paying someone. Those boys didnt consider that to go south outside of getting caught in the moment but those issued lingered and spread. They probably have court dates, that girl is about to be traumatized about her choices and Randy… Well we see what happens to him
Also, with the issue of his foster situation, I wish they’d move kids around to different areas after their first or second families. Especially in Randy’s case with no family to rely on. It doesn’t have to be another state but a city somewhere else in MD. Kids thrive outside of their comfort zones because they can expand and adjust quicker than we think.
I feel like randy became the new cheese. He’s a great salesman/possesses an entrepreneurial mindset but due to his snitch reputation that will follow him for the rest of his life in that world I don’t see how any crew would take him.
Watching this series as a grown man now, it was probably one of the only times i felt sorry for a police officer. Carver really tried to help Randy and even he knew Randy was done for. One of the reason why I love this show! Expresses real emotions
As a teacher who taught in alternative schools, I can relate to Carver's reaction in the car at the end. Nothing like feeling you tried everything to save a kid and feeling like you failed when none of it was your responsibility to fix in the first place. You keep going just thinking next time you wont fail....
Randy the new bodie idk he told no matter how tuff he act he will never be trusted bodie told towards the end but that’s after he knew being loyal could still get u killed
Wish they would’ve gave bodies character the opportunity to go for the crown having his own plug and crew and die trying. Kept him as a pawn the whole series. Great character either way.
In the end Bodie stood tall on his "morales and values" but it's so sad that he couldn't stand on something more beneficial to his life. Born into a different environment that same fearlessness and hustlers' mentality would have taken him so far in life.
