Hi, I'm Dayana! 🙋🏽♀️ Here you'll learn about: 💳 Credit Cards | Credit | Credit Building 💰 How to make money 🏡 Real Estate | Real Estate Investing & much more.
Today i got approved to my HYSA for a second i thought i was going to get denied. But yea all i heard at the end was “Welcome to the AMEX Family Mr:Eduardo” 🙂↔️
This doesn't work for me. I generally used 3k a month on CB. The last 3 months I used 500 on CB. Each month I used less, and my balance decreased, my credit score took a HUGE nosedive. 40 point drop in August. Another 69 points last month. CB has absolutely wrecked my credit. And I have the safe Credit setting on.
My checking account still paying 5.07% interest even after the federal dropped the rate, but new customer won't be getting this APR. I am with this bank a few years now and racking in the interest, sadly I have to pay some of it to the IRS at the end of the year.
Welcome to America, where everything is taxed. 🤦🏽♀️ However I wouldn’t turn down a bonus just because of taxes-that’s like refusing your job salary because you have to pay taxes on it.
@@appleztoorangesI will trade a quarter for a dollar anytime anyday. Even if you’re at the highest tax bracket, you’re only taxed 40-50 cents/dollar you make at max.
I used to chase high interest CD accounts and opened with a lot of banks. My experience has been it is hard to remember each one eventually. For opening for these bonuses it is not worth it as many of these banks that offer it have fees. In order to surpass the fees you need direct deposit. For the fee reason I just use Discover. With savings accounts they require you to put thousands in to meet the qualification and by the time you put that much money in you are better off putting it in a High Yield Savings Account or CD with high interest. If I put 16k in a CD I will get around 300 dollars in 3-6 months anyway.
Be careful when receiving these bonuses on a bank account they usually issue a 1099 that's why I like chasing welcome offers on credit cards it's completely tax free
Welcome to America, where everything’s taxed. We shouldn’t say credit card bonuses are tax-free out loud-Uncle Sam might start taxing those too, lol. 🤦🏽♀️ But I wouldn’t turn down a bonus just because of taxes-that’s like refusing your salary or any money just because of taxes.
Hello dayana, there are so many online banks, with high yielding accounts, and checking accounts that is hard to pick one. I opened a high yielding account with bask bank, that pays 4.85% and the checking also get 1%. I think instead of being stuck with an account just for getting a one time bonus, it would be better to open an account from any of the online banks that offer good interests for their high yielding savings and their checking accounts that get you more interest than the regular banks. cheers by the way bask belong to texas capital bank and they pay .5% more in their hy savings
I have an email from Chase that says if I open a checking account and set up a direct deposit, they will give me a $200 bonus. And if I open a savings account with a minimum of $15k, they will give me a $300 bonus. But if I open both checking and savings accounts, they will give me a $900 bonus. 😊
KeyBank has/had $300 for opening a checking with Direct Deposit, though I think it’s 60-90 days of account opening. If 1 has a slow payroll department where it’s 120 days to change Direct Deposit, it may not work. Appreciate the 411.
When u open a checking account with any bank they don't check your credit 🤦 wow u r dens the only time where banks check your credit is if u apply for credit cards derp derp 😑
love your content and thanks for sharing this info. I snagged a $225 bonus with Chase back in 2022 and now I see Chase and other banks are giving these bigger bonuses. What a time to be alive lol.

I want to take advantge of 0% interest bonuses but scared because i never carried a balance before . Have you carried a balance and will it affect my score ?
For years, I felt stuck in the same cycle of credit card debt, managing with minimum payments and feeling like I’d never get ahead. I know a lot of people feel the same, just trying to keep their heads above water. Eventually, I hit a point where I knew something had to change. I took control and learned as much as I could about managing money. It wasn’t easy, but slowly I paid off the debt and got to a place where I could finally save and even invest. Now, I’m debt-free and on track to retire with $3 million. It’s crazy how I went from drowning in debt to actually enjoying financial content, something I used to ignore entirely
I agree, luck plays a role, especially in the short term, but consistent results tend to come from more than just luck. When I had only saved $100k, I realized I couldn’t afford to rely on luck or time alone. I needed a more deliberate approach that wasn’t just hoping for the best. Thats when I found Emily Ava Milligan, a fund manager whose approach to balancing risk and growth gave me the confidence to build from that foundation
