Its the best but there is always something to complain about. They have a big problem with locking people out of their account. Although its happening less often, its still an issue Also, I cant understand why they dont allowing trading fraction shares, yet you can reinvest dividends in fractional shares. Lastly, they dont explain their occasional fees and some trading activity on the activity page or anywhere else on the website. You have to call customer service. I had $25 taken out of my account every month for 8 months. It didnt say what it was for. I called customer service to find out it was a fee for untradable stocks. I had these dead stocks on m account for over 10 years but they suddenly decided to charge me a fee without any warning. How hard it is it to put "untradable stock fee" in the desription for the fee and send me an alert that they would start doing it?
I've been with Ally for a number of years now and currently have 4 accounts with them. Great customer service! I usually do not need a local bank but there are a few times when I do which is kind of a pain. Those big local banks don't pay interest on checking (usually) and very low interest on savings.
@@DayanaPlays Yes, but I'll probably be closing it in a couple months. Chase often has some deal where they give you cash for opening an account. So if I need one, I do. Then use it for a year and close it. I've done this several times. But I'm hoping to figure out a better plan in the future.
I totally agree with you,, I like Ally alot, actually alot better than Sofi... Sofi is horrific,, Ally has better customer service,, offers checks and doesnt hold ur direct deposit to unlock Sofi's features... Ally is more established and you cant go wrong with 24/7 phone support..
I have sofi and ally and just find myself using ally more because ally does not require direct deposit to receive the higher interest and ally does have a card connected to its money market high yeild savings account
I toally agree I had both as well but canceled my Sofi account as well, I found myself not using it much, that is correct about the money market acct... Sofi wants you to have direct deposit to unlock those extra features which is terrible...and for a few cents more on interest Sofi isnt worth it, and there phone support is terible... Also note with Ally Bank, you can have many, Checking, Savings and MMA accounts... Sofi you can only have one checking acct paired with only one savings.
@@LeoSandovalOficial If the dealer allows you to pay with a credit card and doesn't charge a fee for using one, and if you're financing an amount you know you can pay off in full before the 18-month period, then it might make sense.
If I just want the savings account and would like to use the money in the future and not really withdraw cash could I just deposit the money from the savings to another bank account ?
You cant trade fractional shares except when reinvesting dividends for some strange reason. If you try to sell all your shares, it has to be in whole shares. The remaining fractional shares will be sold about a day later, so you have no control over the price you sell it for.
@@DayanaPlays the APY, As I started investing I really started likening the boosters all I use is the round up one though; I can see the use in the others I just don't have a use for them, I use the bucks to help me built an emergency fund
