Hey friends! Welcome to my channel where I watch and react to tons of movies and shows that I've never seen (and occasionally some I have). I'm a lifelong romance/drama/rom-com lover and my husband says I've been hiding under a rock my whole life with how many "amazing" movies I haven't seen (according to him). Join me in my journey as I try to catch up on the last 20 years of movies!

Disregard the Deadpool origin in this movie. It was a one-off use of the character. Fortunately, somebody realized that Ryan Reynolds has a lot more to offer and the character could be ongoing, so they put out the deadpool movie with a better origin. When fanboys say to skip a movie of a franchise then disregard that. Not every movie in a series is going to be great. That is impossible. Sometimes there will be a plot point in a movie and later the writers will come up with a better direction to go. Sometimes a story will be written in a different way than fans imagined it in their heads. Then they get mad because the story isn't the way they think it should be. Even a movie that has writing or directing that doesn't hold up to the rest of a franchise can be enjoyable to watch. This movie has some shortcomings, but it is fun.

You have to understand that the comics aren't in a straight line. There are different storylines and timelines.

For people my age (70), "The Wizard of Oz" was a major part of our childhood from watching it on TV once a year. For us, a number of the phrases from the soundtrack are permanently in our brains: "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!", "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!", "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!", "Toto too!", etc. It's hard to realize that most younger people haven't ever seen the movie at all.

This is one of the "meh" movies in the series I mentioned before in the comments. At the end of Deadpool 2, the real version of Deadpool "corrects" the timeline. Fox studios was all over the place with the X-Men series.

Imo, The Sting is NOT a "heist" movie. It's a STING movie lmao. It's a CON JOB on a huge scale. It's a Grift. A Heist movie is more of a planned bank robbery or a airport cargo Heist. Re the beautiful paintings which introduce each chapter, that is artwork in the old Saturday Evening Post/Norman Rockwell style. Hopefully you know who Norman Rockwell is. The music has nothing to do with Disney. The entire soundtrack is vintage Scott Joplin music, the most famous Ragtime piano player ever. The soundtrack was huge when this came out. The girl dancing in the theater was a BURLESQUE DANCER. The present day equivalent of a strip club. Yes Cassie, men were horndogs back then too! Burlesque Theaters were in every city and town in America from the 20s to even into the 70s. The girls would dance and in between stans up comics would do their acts. (See the musical Chicago). Lonergan was like a big Mob boss back then. Like an Al Capone. Or more recently, John Gotti. They played Poker "on the train" because this was the 1930s. Airplane travel hadn't really started. Lonergon was a New York guy. So they are traveling from NYC to Chicago. Time for a high stakes poker game. The Merry Go Round setup was a cover for the "Escort service" Gondorff and his wife ran. OMIGOSH!! LMAO

Secretly a spy but thought by his family to be a dull salesman, Harry (Schwarzenegger) is tracking down nuclear missiles in the possession of Islamic jihadist Aziz (Malik). His mission is complicated when he realizes his neglected wife Helen (Curtis) is contemplating an affair with Simon (Paxton), a used-car salesman who claims he's a spy. Waterville is a community just North of and part of Waterbury, Connecticut. In Waterville there was a small movie theater that had fallen on hard times and might not have survived had it not somehow won the bid to have Waterbury's initial screening of "Ben Hur" back in 1959. The film was featured at the Ville Theater for so long that the proceeds financed a complete facelift of the film house and it went on for many years as a successful single screen cinema theater. That's where I saw "Ben Hur" when I was 10 years old. It's an incredible piece of filmmaking. The only other film I can think of that featured an "Overture," Intermission and Re-Entry music to alert the audience to return to their seats, years before I was around, was "Gone With The Wind." To answer your philosophical question about "how could people Possibly treat other people so badly" as the conquering Romans treated others they considered inferior to those of their own expanding Empire, we need do nothing more than read legitimate contemporary news accounts of how today's "immigrants from (so-called) shithole countries" around the globe are spoken of and treated by leaders of political parties of the modern era here in the United States of America. Reach into history of the 20th Century to learn about how people of half the globe were tortured and killed in nearly the same ways. Research any century before or since the days of the Roman Empire, in fact, and you'll find accurate historical accounts of man's inhumanity towards other men, women and children. Probably one of the most appalling realizations will be to come to understand that in many such cases, so-called Inferiors have been historically marginalized and yes, killed in the interest of commerce or worse, "in the name of God." Extremists of nearly every persuasion behave this way and they'll threaten to kill if "their beliefs" are opposed. These words of hatred come from their own mouths. The film "Ben Hur" illustrates simple truths. Those with ears to hear and eyes to see are moved by such simple truths.

My dad was a medic on Omaha beach. He ended up in 3rd Armored under Patton. I still have some of Patton's orders that he received along with his Purple Heart. He never would talk about the war. The opening of this movie is what war is all about. Violence, chaos, and death.

Sheen had a heart attack filming this movie. A hurricane destroyed all the sets. Now you know what a powerful movie looks like. The airstrike kills everyone at the end. The director's cut includes a scene with French planters who don't want to leave Vietnam, even though they should. Robert Duval is famous as Col. Kilgore. The director's cut is actually the better movie because of the extra scenes,. For example, you find out what happens to the Playboy bunnies who become trapped in Vietnam. Anyway, this is not a movie to watch if you are prone to depression.

I'm sorry, but some movies will rage me, as you white girls will never understand the trials and hardships that native Americans went through, and this movie is very special, to watch you just chalk it up to another movie for content, when it's so much more than that, kills me! You will never understand this movie, and you are not worthy to make an attempt! It's not just a movie, it's so far deeper than that, you will never understand! Look up the book wild at heart, and then maybe you will understand!
