did you notice that the reversible lane on the bridge hadn't actually been installed yet when you recorded your video? The bridge has just six lanes, they narrowed the lanes from 3.7 metres to 3.55 metres in order to accommodate the widening. The old Port Man had an extra lane shoe-horned in too before it was replaced. Before the Port Mann got replaced, there was only an eastbound HOV lane, not an additional westbound lane to match.
As a dutch guy I always looove driving through Canada, part. B.C. Vancouver area. Lots of cool roads to be at and to see so many great places. Next year hoping for another fun trip to meet up/reunite with friends and family overthere.
Glad the 91 is getting attention. The stretches of Highway 91 and 99 along the ALR can give a nice break from the typical urban setting that you would see along Hwy 1, though the congestion can definitely ruin that illusion some days. The counterflow has definitely helped it out for the meanwhile.
thanks for the ride Phil. I know you do a lot of backpacking trips ,viewing the amazing scenery with your nack for good audio might be cool to watch. Love your channel
LOVE THE VIDEOS KEEP THEM COMING, (also sometime in the future can you do driving videos of the MALAHAT on vancouver island? no one has done a good one of the Malahat highway yet) thank you soooo much!!
Great video! I wish someday you cross the border and film some Seattle freeways. They have some interesting and scenic ones too. I did roam around Seattle for a couple of days during my trip to Vancity in the summer of 2018.
Can you please please please do a video of the Malahat highway on Vancouver island? There currently is no good video on youtube for this beautiful highway, thank you!
First time watching Canadian driving videos... man it's so clean up there. Also, do the green lights flash while passing or is that just from the video itself?
Thanks for watching. With the flashing green lights, that just means the signal is pedestrian activated. They want to you to use a bit of precaution when going through those because at any time, a pedestrian could come by and press the button and they would turn red. Otherwise, those particular intersections ALWAYS stay green (flashing green) for the main road until a pedestrian presses the button to cross.
"I made my home in a tin-ton bomb, and I was so happy with 28 years of free-falling..." Man I love this song! Even more with your video now!! Nicely done!
yeah I was just randomly driving all in and around Vancouver that afternoon. Just following my GPS and seeing what highways I could find. I hadn't been on it before either.
