Woow awesome guide thanks for sharing your knowledge! I love monsteras so i get my first albo, several times get the problem of the yellow edges, its winter here actually, i have it with a temp of 18°c, humidity arround 50%, it has low/medium natural light so i complement with a 30w led maybe its not enought?
Holy crap… I love your plants and shop but wow.. I NEED more of your videos! They are so well made and informative because of your long background in plants, sales and trends in the plant community. I really hope you keep doing this and you explode on RU-vid. Best channel ever 💯
I have had a lot of success using a net pot or just watering the cutting a lot more than you usually would because they are used to a lot of water and then gradually tapering off the watering adding more potting mix that’s usually a good technique for me…
My best advice to avoid these scams. Stick to local groups and local pickups they might not have as many options, but the chances of getting are a lot less likely scammed. Also I'd love to be a part of any group you may create. Keep up the great work love your videos.
I got scammed earlier this year by a chihuahua scammers group. All the warnings signs were there and I DO know better so I really don't know why I allowed myself to be scammed. But I did. I think it was around $500 for a chihuahua puppy, air fare included! . There was only ONE puppy up for sale, That should have been my first clue. Most litters have more than one puppy and breeders usually will have a picture history of the litter growing up. I gave him ALL my info and bought the "puppy". But after I paid the initial fee, he wanted another $1200-ish for "insurance" to ship the puppy. This was when I said ok, hold on. He also said the pup would be delivered right to my door! But I started to call him out on a few things and said I want my money back! I reported him then and there and I think I scared him a little because my money was returned to me. But now I had to go and secure EVERYTHING!!!! Credit cards, my drivers license, bank accounts, everything! I felt so stupid!! How, WHY did I let myself fall for this? But I can say, I know what to look for now. 1; Only one puppy for sale at a time. 2; check all admin profiles. You will see a hastily made account with little to no history, no family photos, no current additions to their wall, ect. 3; People in the group all give the same commentary about the seller! He is a great guy, this is not a scam..... 4; All "sales" are taken private on messenger. This is where it is laid on thick and promised everything and where the money sky rockets. And this is where it ends for me. I was a lucky one. I got my money back after a bit of wrangling. I hate these people and everything they stand for. They want to steal your hard earned cash rather than get a real job. When I am ready for my new chihuahua baby I will contact a reputable breeder close to my home.
So I found with climbing airoids that I can propagate a wet stick and cut the new vine that grows off of the side of it loose once it grows its own roots and wait for that wet stick to grow another vine. Sometimes they continue to put out vines over and over and over other times after a couple of cuts, they become a sort of zombie node. Can we talk more about this? Do you use this method?
Everytime Ive seen someone use aroid mix it falls out everywhere. Not that the moss doesn’t shed, but the more they mature, the less they shed. The next thing I want to try is putting aroid mix inside the moss. I like my moss poles, but most things can be improved on 😊
One of those Cameroon outfits stole money from me a couple of years ago when I was going through a horrifically bad time. They are RUTHLESS. Thanks for these sorts of exposes, anything that helps combat these arseholes is welcome!
Is there a more lengthy video explanation of what and how to cut it? I am also confused at what exactly did you cut off after the new leaves appeared? And if you cut new growth, how can it become bushy?
@@mariag.5269 3 new growth points started, but 2 of 3 came out green so I cut them off to allow the half moon marble lower branch and the top of the plant to focus growth into. I could have let them all grow out, but many times at least one, if not 2 of the shoots would slow down growth, and it would likely be the variegated one since it photosynthesizes the least. So I made the choice for the plant, and gave it one lower branch to make it more bushy
Thank you for this brief but thorough explanation! I just took over caring for my grandmother-in-law's houseplants. She has a croton, a peace lilly, a dragon tree, and a different plant that I haven't identified yet. Almost everything says bright, indirect sunlight, but it's good to know exactly what qualifies! 😊😄
I'm so glad I'm not on Facebook. I don't like to get scammed. I'd only buy or sell plants when meeting face to face or buying from a real online plant shop. I generally only would buy with money I could lose without losing my sleep, because you could get a bad looking plant or have pests with it... I appreciate if sellers sell that exact plant which they have a picture of and not just photograph the nicest specimen and then send the ugly ones to their customers!
