One thing to note about the weight of this lens is that it's incredibly well balanced. I would say about 2/3 of the weight of the lens is located BEHIND the function ring (not the focusing ring). Keeping most of the weight near the camera body prevents the lens from being front heavy, which makes it less stressing on your wrist over long shooting sessions.
I have only just discovered you through research in to Magmod. This is by far the most useful, understandable, and enjoyable explanation of OCF I have ever watched. I did get confused with the shutter speed but you addressed this in comments. I have never purchased anything of the back of RU-vid channels but I will be definitely buying magmod for portability! Lovely photos of Darcie's wedding by the way. I have met and worked with Darcie in the past a true pro model. Thanks
Love your content and your work! Just have a question. I just bought the ad200 and the Godox ML-CD15 Diffusion Dome. Do you think I will get good results? I do have softboxes but I'm scared it is going to be a lot of wind. I dont have an assistant. When you use F 1.8, is the picture totally sharp? I have tried before and it will get kinda blurry. What tips can you tell me knowing that I'm going to have my first weeding? What metering mode and zone do work for you? Regards😊
hi Neil, great video... but I have a question... around min 4:17 you set the camera for the ambient light.... min 4:17 shows a picture F1.8, 1/200, ISO100...this pic looks good exposed... the room os bright... then you increase the time to 1/1250 and say that is the exposure you want... later at min 9:49 you show a picture with a darken room, model is well exposed with setting F1.8, 1/200, ISO100.... what I wonder is that the room is darken... more darken than at min 4:17 with the same setting..., why? many thanks, brgds Patrik
Excellent learning video and introducing these amazing features now being brought into Lightroom. Thank you for the clear and clean presentation. Nnce work overall including the shots.
hola Nei soy roberto giusti ante todo eres muy bueno te sigo todo tus videos pero en este caso por que no usaste un exposimetro para compensar el fondo con la modelo . saludos desde argentina
Your tutorial is so simple , I love it Neil - good sample and demo techniques step by step . This shot is a master piece. Very moody and romantic, Elle looks soooooo stunning . Well done team , catch you guys again next episode .
Why did you have to use sync if you was shooting at 1/200 of sec and the sync speed of that camera is at 250 you got New subscriber. I would like to to hear your answer
I love the silhouette concept. Is it essential that the photographer 1. Shoot UP, at an extreme angle, or is that simply because shooting that high up means the sun is high in the sky and therefore harsh; 2. Shoot UP because the sun is smaller at that position than at sunset? Also, my experience is that unless the subject blocks the sun entirely, unsightly flare creeps into the image; did that happen here, but it was cleaned on the computer?
