I can't understand why the western countries have so much preference for intubation. Recently I survived double pneumonia my lungs collapsed my oxygen level went down to 80% and I was breathing 60 times a minuite. I think that some of the covid deaths could have been avoided if excess care had not been taken. For example: deaths due to hyperoxia and oxygen toxicity, ventilation induced lung injury, nosocomial infections from icu, etc. India is far more advanced than the west that's why UK PM is an Indian.
They are protecting themselves not the patient, the area where the exam is done remains unventilated. That area is where the patient has no mask during the procedure.
