They just don't accept ot8 will never be strong as ot9 was, that they are not like sisters and indeed kick Jessica out and that she is way more relevant than 6/8 of the group. Sones are by far the worst fandom in kpop
@@burniiiiiing exactly and this is precisely why they are always shamed by fandoms for having a fake sister personality and even compared to 2NE1 having a real sister-like personality like when Minzy or Bom got out of YG, 2NE1 was supportive of them regardless of the hate and circumstances they experienced versus snsd who quite literally ruined the life of their former member, stayed silent about it and acted like she never existed despite being with them their whole childhood. That's sisterhood for you!
I'm a Hyoyeon biased but I didn't know that she mentioned something that could possibly refer to Jessica. 😭 I know I'm being delulu for this but I hope to see OT9 again. Or at the very least, I hope that Jessica and Hyoyeon makes up. Jess seems to adore Hyo before and Hyo seems open to talk about her and still considers SNSD with 9 members. They were even known as the members who fought a lot (even physically) but makes up after it (with tears lol). I'm almost a solo stan for Hyo but I absolutely love Jessica's voice and missed it when I'm listening to an OT8 song.
thank you for this video. i think about her every single day. she taught me so much about feminism, and about being myself. i wish she knew how many people like me looked up to her and really appreciated the things she thought and said
Up until now, she's still my inspiration. My dancing have a touch of her gracefulness, my style have her essence of feminity. She makes my youth a worthwhile. She's my forever ult bias.
Back then, when I was so active stalking them, I really love watching youtube clips about them but I never heard or saw her speaking in english so fluent like that. I thought all snsd members can't speak and understand english cuz there are multiple videos I'm seeing that they are trying hard to speak in english and struggles a lot because they're lacking of english vocabs.
I have been their fans since they debuted and i was small back then so i don't really understand the detail of the lawsuit than they are fighting for their right. I know about the album conditions, back then cassies (the name of our fandom) bought so many albums so they could get some monoey from it. heck, now that you explain it to me, it put tears in my eyes becuse, fuck they really ruined their life :'((( so glad they are now free :'(((
I've been into kpop since Gee was released, and have been a S♡NE for a long time and seeing her just being dropped like that killed the entire group, it's sad to say that, but Jessica was indeed a huge part of GG
What are you talking about, SNSD is still at the top of Brand Reputarion every month up till this day in their 17th years. SNSD is not killed, its just their prime has passed and thats okay. Every newer generation will replace the older one. Its a natural circle, since Kpop fandom is mostly youth people. SNSD fans is already old and busy with their adult life. But SNSD is still very strong. Even in the survey of 21 century best GG they are still at the top along with Blackpink.
Totally killed. It doesn't matter what fans say, their golden era was especially when they were 9. So what being in brand reputation? Blackpink and Twice are now the top GGs and unlike snake generation they would never kick a member out.
Seeing how sudden and forced all this was, there's no explanation other than a contract violation had been done. Contract violation has specific and immediate sanctions and consequences. Also, in business' perspective, a "blessing" can't be delivered verbally. You have to get it written down, signed, so it's legally binding.
There wasn't a contract violation. Blanc was launched in early august then it was announced that she had renewed with sm 15 days before she was kicked out. Also, we could see Jessica designing a sunglass in one episode of her reality show with Krystal which was aired a few months earlier so sm and the others were definitely aware that she was planning to start a business.
@@saturnshye still. Sometimes artists and even the production team of a label/artist management companies are not aware of what is written under the artist's contract, especially when artists, as an employee, signed them under the HR department. I'm assuming she signed her business partnership under her name as an individual and not as an artist of SM Entertainment (that could definitely lead to the core problem). Unfortunately, probably Jessica and her team didn't know what they were getting into and the people at HR just found out about her legal bindings with the project after she signed with her business parter at blanc. Things like this happen sometimes. Employees aren't always aware of the company's bureaucracy. I'm not saying it's her fault, it's just that it's very unfortunate.
I really love bol4 songs and it makes me sad to know that they didn't get along very well. I don't know who is wrong and who is right, but the way the duo worked was kinda weird. Like, Jiyoon never got much attention and it didn't feel like a duo at all. Things could have been different if the company had treated her better.
See SM was ready for her to miss a comeback and prepared for her to fly to the states to do some stuff in regard to her brand she got the approval. SME was fine with her setting up the business because they also got a portion of the money in which Jessica made while under contract. People need to stop blaming SME. They supported her. Even after she was kicked out of the group they kept her under contract and let her out of that contract peacefully without having to go to court. They black listed her because they weren’t going to make money from her or her brand. It sucks but SNSD was wrong for what they did.
I still hate SM. They never offer the same resources. Jessica's resources are scarce. She achieved career success through her own efforts. She deserves it. Sadly, a group of jealous women erased her achievements.
@@Kevin-cg4gj okay. I’m not hating on a company that supported her. Honestly she was their golden child. Like you said SNSD was a group of jealous women
Thank you Jess for teaching me that it doesn’t matter if people you thought loved you and protected you turn their backs on you, one can always find the way to success and happiness❤
The problem was simple: the men at the head of the industry didn't like that a woman was too successful as an entrepreneur. She was probably too independent and ambitious as a Korean-American woman. Fortunately, mentalities are starting to change
i have to say this, removing jessica from GG was the biggest mistake everyone concerned making that decision could of made, but they did, and as we have and continue to witness, who shines the brightest, only JESSICA,
the way i see it: they milked Jessica's talent and saw her attempt at developing a business and being more independent as a threat. because then she would no longer need SME for making money and staying relevant in the entertainment business. of course if she has an "emergency door" (i.e. her business) it's gonna be more difficult to manipulate her and keep her under SME with a shady conttact. Jessica was never my favorite and i still dotn really follow her. but this event was so traumatic for Sones. and it really showed how disgusting SME truly is.
Actually, Jessica (and the members) had just renewed their contract with SM for three years so i don't think they were worried about keeping her. And if they saw her brand as a threat they wouldn't have allowed her to start it.
i remember i was so devastated when she's out of the group. she was my bias and always been a fan of her until she out of the group 😢 and then i moved on to Apink ❤
Though speculative. Her exit probably stemmed from an intellectual property dispute and contract issues, with Tyler Kwon center to blamed. But things were eventually at ease, as SM later promoted Blanc & Eclare by having their idols wear the brand's clothing.
I dont want to hear anything about mental health ever again, from korean netizens and international kpop fans alike. This year has been one of the worst years in kpop in terms of groups, especially girl groups getting massive hate trains, fanwars, harassment, gaslighting and mistreatments. Im not even going to mention them since theres so many that have been affected. No one will ever learn. With that said, sulli never did anything wrong and never once deserved not even an ounce of what she faced. When she died I literally went crazy for months. I'm over it now, but of course I still miss her tremendously.
Why does SM have this culture of bringing their own idols down? YG entertainment let G-dragon make his own fashion brand and didn’t intervene and no damage was caused. Why is SM so against their idols being realistic with their plans in life? Bruh I’m just even more mad that Seunghan is now going through something like this as well. They real do see their idols as products and nothing more.
I hate how OT8 stans pretend that Jessica was never needed or important in the group, like she wasn't 80% of SNSD's sound and one of the most popular members. It's ok to support all the girls but not to neglect Jessica's existence. She was VITAL to the group, specially because she was a part of it during their most active years.
I think that can be easily disproved. If you look closely at the subtle moments that hint at Jessica, it can easily seem contradictory. It's likely they’re bound by an NDA, restricting what can be publicly discussed.
@@melisacaceres8740 True, But I'm referring to the analysis made of these fans offer different takes by digging into Easter eggs that tie together Taeyeon’s and Jessica’s careers.
This is something I will never forgive netizens for. They are responsible for this young, beautiful, and talented woman’s death. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. This girl didn’t bother anyone. She was never in any trouble. None of that behavior was warranted
I got into k-pop the year she died. The news made me sad but I didn't look into it much up until last year, read thousands of articles and some documentaries and i just broke down. She just wanted people to like her, she wanted to be that person too. A k-pop idol unconditionally loved for the sake of her mental health and the things she got hated on were just so ridiculous. The time gap between the successful suicide attempts of both Hara and sulli speaks volumes about how dependent, comfortable they were with each other. I can't imagine what it must have felt like to lose sulli, probably the only person in the world that didn't bury her with unnecessary hate. And even After all that she helped with the burning sun scandal case knowing she was going against someone as powerful as seungri. I love her so much till this date. Words cannot begin to describe what beautiful of a soul she was. I hope she is in peace now. The world didn't deserve her. Rest well my angel.
As a seasoned Sone, this was the most devastating experience I had faced What bugged me was, after 2014 GG barely had any comebacks and they all did solo so I don’t understand why you gotta kick her out
Bottom line is some of the members got jealous / petty / had a change of heart, and used Jessica's brand (conflict of interest) as an excuse to oust her from the group They insinuated that Jessica did not care about the group anymore Some of the members' parents got involved as well and SME was pushed into a corner at that time Which was completely unjustified as Jessica never missed any official SNSD activities whereas other members outright missed scheduled activities due to acting etc (evidence is in SoShi's calendar) Even the worst Jessica possibly ever did was turning up for rehearsals late due to her own activities but she at least still attended. Antis often remark that Jessica should have waited till 2016 to start her brand but I honestly don't see an issue if she sought permission multiple times from the company, clarified with them, all members were initially ok with it, provided she could handle all of it (which she did prove that she could co-ordinate and balance both) And SME even getting their share of profits from Jessica's fashion brand too I guess it all stemmed from the jealousy and insinuations about her heart not being in the right place Which was really hypocritical as other members missed activities left right centre despite seemingly having less workload
@@zbkvolgren why would parents of grown women be involved bruh. Like I get it culture. But I am brown, and our culture is family oriented too never had these type of issues. Just seems unnecessary as even with lion heart the promotion period was short. They just ruined it for us
she wanted the love you get from fame, and she got it, but she also got the extreme opposite and it broke her a little bit. it's not the only reason her mental health declined but I'm sure it played its part
Anyone can say anything about Kim Heechul but he's a ride or die friend. He kept his friendship with Han Geng, even showed his first album on air and kept contact with him all these years.
She mixed all of their personalities and stories so we couldn’t easily tell who by who at first. But look at their back stories and hints we can tell that Lizzie was Tiffany and Mina was Sooyoung
She really missed them indeed. I believe Lizzy is a mix of Tiffany and Yuri (because the character is part of the dance line) and Mina seems 90% of sooyoung and 10% of ty
Yeah you also are very close to then aren't you? That's why you know they are perfect innocent sisters that could never kicked her out even if chinese fans proved Jessica was right lol
