great lessons. thanks for breaking it down so well. i use waveform 12pro. it helps when a tutorial explains the stuff. i have a problem tho.. i cant get the melodyne to work even tho i activated it and im a registered waveform owner. same with my autotune access.
I have a similar issue with the 1604 I got in a reselling deal. The corner near the IAC must have taken a hit at some point and the dented chassis created a barrier to power on. Eventually after opening it up and still not being able to identify where the exact break was I managed to angle the iac receptacle at just enough angle to reseat it to power up. I’m afraid to mess with it too much. However it does work for the time being. These things are built like tanks and I got to wonder why this corner is so vulnerable to impact damage?! Seems like a design flaw that could have been avoided.
When I create a new tempo change, the red dot is created to the nearest beat and not where I positioned the cursor. Ican move the red dot but it keeps snapping to a whole beat. Help!!
I've been doing it all wrong. I drag the melodyne plugin from the plugins and invoke melodyne that way. It takes forever to read the file but eventually shows the notes in orange. Your way is much faster. My question now is is the way I do it "wrong"? Does it use more processing power than the way you show above?
@@almostliterally593 thank you for the explanation. Hopefully they will figure out a way to simplify the build with parts that sound relatively close to the original. Easier said than done, obviously.
I wouldn't waste your money on these. I have a headphone amp made by Donner that blows this away for the same price. It has volume, gain, tone and a delay. It's also much smaller and has a built in rechargeable battery that lasts a really long time. I only have to charge it like once a year.
Maybe you can help me? I'm having trouble with my fader 6 is controlling fader 7! Also im not getting any mix to my main fader (its going to sub 4!). any help would be greatly appreciated.
picked one of these up and noticed the left main channel LED meter doesn't pick up a signal unless the input channel solo button is pushed..the sound seems to only be slightly quieter on the left but for some reason the LED meter doesn't show it, left and right main faders are placed in the same spot, and it happens on every line input balanced channel i've tried. any ideas?
Thank You so much I recently became the sound engineer for my church and having the exact mixer as you have here this tutorials have been a good clarification on just how much I can do and how to do it correctly, even though all previous sound knowledge I have I learnt as I was serving
Thanks. I've been looking for a current singer to cover material from an 80s band (orig. members deceased) I worked with -- I can pull their original vocals. I got 12.5 pro for video capabilities plus efficient Apple Silicon coding.
Is it possible to send multiple individual audio outs from an iPad or a DAW to the Mackie? I know the Tascam has like 8 outs on the Model 16. Also are the Mackie EQ’s as good as they used to be on their classic boards like the 1604VLZ?
Great videos as always, very informative, would love to see a mix n master breakdown using waveform 12 ? currently dont think anyone has done one using waveform. would be cool to see the gainstaging and such or bussing tracks to tracks etc i myself have been using kilohearts utilitys so i can use the gain plugigin but would love to see the approach othe waveform users take when mixing workflow etc.
would be nice to have an updated overview of Tracktion's Master Mix plug-in. (it's in the Pro version or in the Recording Engineer expansion for the free flavor of Waveform)
Probably make the request to Tracktion directly. I don't work for Tracktion or receive any compensation for these videos. For what it's worth, there is a complete series covering Master Mix at Groove.com.
I just got the Rockman Guitar Ace. Yes it does flutter on the dist channel. I have an original 100 that needs to be repaired. The Ace Its not terrible with some delay and chorus. Do you have a vid on the Ace upgrade?
I don’t have a video on it but hope to show that mod eventually when I get back to making videos. I replaced one resistor but need to go back and figure out how I did it. The point was to make the volume more consistent when switching between clean and dist.
Okay thank you! Well First off The Ace gave out after 45 min of having it. Just used the head phone out and now not working. My 80's X-100 always had input issues. It powers up but after I tried to fix the input no output but powers on.
I used the headphone out to my 83 Fender Sidekick with a Crate effects processor and now gone. Sounded pretty good! Changed cords and guitars still nothing.
how do i change the piano sound of stepclips? it just randomly turns on and off, every time i start the program and do smth with stepclips its either the piano sound with its correct notes or normal sounds of what it supposed to be
Yes, I went through that same evaluation. Used Presonus AR mixers for a few years, the switched to the SSL BigSix. It is a lot more money however it is more dedicated as s studio and recording device. For my smaller setup I have settled on the Mackie Onyx8.
OUTSTANDING introduction and explanation of the features and possible applications for this mixer. I need to recommend a mixer for use as an audio interface for Microsoft Teams to a client. This answered all of my questions and concerns working with this board and the finicky Teams application. I need the capability to add multiple mics in a large auditorium situation with various seating arrangements and large numbers of presenters talking at the same time while working in a hybrid environment. The flexibility of this unit is was perfectly outlined in your video. Thank you!
