I stripped "normal" small (0.15mm) wires, but my advice would be to use laminated copper wire, it will save you a lot of stripping, and you don't need to worry about shorts. Even better would be to create a small PCB that can be soldered directly to the strips themselves.
Im not hating man just sayn its expensive. im driving a audi S6 C5 2000r swapped tiptronic into manual + turbo.@@chagay DSG can handle alot but the cost of repairs is hard (Im from Poland) Greetings!
Hey, no sorry, there are 2mm thick and have 5x150mm sides, thats basically all info to make them yourselves. I have 2 sets available for worldwide shipping if you're interested, let me know ;)
@@SB-ur7ro Haha, klopt ;) Factory quickshifter is available from 2017+ models... It gives more pops when shifting, more DSG-fart like I like that better than the healtech / pre 2017 models.
@@chagay thanks man.
Are the changes smooth? does it need a lot of force on the gear shift to change the gears? on genuine yamaha qs it needs a strong push to change the gear. i have the same bike and in a few weeks i will install the healtech. Just curius about the effort it needs to do the change.
At low RPM's it needs a little more force, i configured it to not activate ignition cut <3500 RPM, because there gearshifts are clunky. >3500RPM shifts are very smooth and a little tap is enough to put it in to next gear
Hoi Roy, ECU/software is helemaal standaard.
Any ideas on how to attach this to a totem pole ? I was thinking, replace the bottom panel with wood or something and screw that into a pole so it’s sturdy. But it would lose a side for the reflection
@@unfluencedarea Hmm they must have changed the product selection. 10A is enough though ;) I think the current consumption on full brightness is about 10A, so a little beefyer power supply would be better.
Yeah definitely possible, exhaust is almost the same. I already converted an 2015 e-tron, but by default the dsg farts are a little less loud than with the normal 1.4TFSI (non-etron). Sportcat + downpipe makes it really sound good on both. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_nHLK7tQYtM.html
i see you are shipping out the parts can we arrange something to where I can receive these and follow the tutorial? or do you do commission? I would like to receive one
Please see www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/how-to-blank-dash-button-mod-for-garage-remote-control.336027/ I followed this tutorial, and used the switch to control the exhaust remote switch
Thank you for the awesome video. Very helpful! Will you make a video sharing how to design the STL for the frame part? I would love to learn more as I want to be able to resize it.
How is your chain not skipping? I have a BBS02 programmed for ~950 watt max and if I put in any pedal power on top of the motor power I start skipping my chain. (Shimano 9-speed w/36T front)
These are "regular" WS2812B strips, so only witg RGB, no RGBW (if you're looking to build one, my advice is to go with brighter/higher voltage/rgbw) leds ;)
@@chrismiso123 Unfortunately not, its indeed a pain in the ass to solder, getting harder linear with the amount of pentagons that are in place. What i can advise though; - When cutting the ledstrips make sure to cut in the center of the pads to keep them as big as possible - Pre-solder all the pads when the led strip is not yet "in" the dodecahedron - I thought about designing a pcb, where the connections are already made with traces so you don't have to connect al the tiny wires in the center. Will create this when starting on my next dodecahedron.
@@chagay Thanks so much; I'll have another go tomorrow. Honestly it's amazing you managed to solder it; I'm almost on the verge of getting some less-dense strips just to make it easier!
