I made a quick video to show the build steps to make an infinity dodecahedron.
Total build costs are ~$100
Tools you will need;
3D printer
Soldering iron
Hotglue
Stanley knife
Something to cut the plexiglass to shape (my advise; let someone CNC them)
Parts you need;
- I used CNC milled 2mm thick plexiglass (150mm sides)

- 4.5 meters of 144 leds/m strips; nl.aliexpress.com/item/326820...
- 1 roll of mirror foil; nl.aliexpress.com/item/329073...
- SP107E Led controller; nl.aliexpress.com/item/329205...
To apply mirror foil, use green soap and water, use plastic card, make sure surface is clean to prevent scratching the mirror foil, this scratches very easy.
For soldering, use your favorite soldering iron, must be precise enough.
Make sure to use some kind of glue between the ledstrips and the frame parts, in my experience, the adhesive used on these ledstrips will let go after 1-2 days.
The diffuser snaps in place, but to prevent it from falling off i used a little hot glue to glue 3 pieces together in the edges.
