I think one of the reasons Judo is so huge in France is because they have Teddy Riner. Having such a long standing and decorated champion must be a huge inspiration for French kids and also a big motivating factor for France to take Judo seriously. But keep doing what you're doing - more exposure British Judo gets the better! Best wishes
Sure Riner had an impact, but judo has been massive in France for decades. What's up with British judo, though? There used to be so many top judokas in the 80s and 90s.
When you randori at these camps, what intensity level is it relative to Shiai? 30% 50%? 95% :D ? Also how many gi's do you take? I can't imagine washing gi's several times per day... ?? Also thanks for the video!!!
At these international camps it’s as close to competition as possible in terms of intensity. Often we are fighting players we could meet in competition so definitely +95% ! And I took 3 gi’s and had to rotate throughout the camp. Ideally a fresh kit each day but we only have so much luggage allowance
I'm so glad I've come across a high level judoka sharing this stuff with us. My health is going to shit due to poor lifestyle habits and it has been affecting my performance. Trying to turn all that around now. This is inspiration 😊
It is a pity that in the UK judo is not so popular. Here in Brazil maybe 2/3 of the children have already done at least one judo training. An amazing sport, congratulations!!
This video was fun cuz I live in Paris and I am familiar with all the places you’ve shown. The part I like the most about your vlogs is when you share your thoughts and emotions. Keep them coming !
