I just bought two of these for my revolution Il and I don’t want the bulky straps on it so I just took an old pair of socks and cut them to fit on the bottom and then I use that to slide it into the molded fitting and it is holding it perfectly tight. I wish they would’ve designed that better so that it fit in those molded holes the way the old ones do . For the price I had to pay for two of those things you would’ve thought they would’ve done a better job with that fitting ! I’ll just have to remember to replace those socks several times during the season because the saltwater will deteriorate them pretty fast.. other than that I absolutely love this for the revolution because it has no room for rails. It definitely was a game changer for me for trolling.
So, this video is still being recommended, in 2024, for the installation of a Lowrance Triple Shot transducer into a Hobie PA 14 360 Guardian plate…but it is no longer compatible and the parts included with my new 2023 Hobie no longer work with the Triple Shot transducer. I have the guardian plate pulled from my kayak and find the nose guard doesn’t properly cover the front of the transducer and the mounting arms will not accept the wider transducer mount. Why no update? Why no warning? Now what??? Very disappointing that Hobie does not provide the consumer a heads up.
how do the fins 'push back forward"? I have this drive and it works but I want to know, do the fins need to be full submerged in water to "push back forward"? I just replaced the set screws and Im heading out on a big trip this weekend. When I peddle out of water (just using my hands) the fins don't snap back into the engaged position. Thanks
- after replacing the rudder bracket mount - it snapped. It will not steer. I was trying to tighten the black line where you pull your the rudder… but for some reason my steering handles are not steering at all. I want doing circles in the river. Since buying this pro angler 12 2016 it has been an issue every time I take it out. Going on three different times taking it out. First time I got out after 2 mins. Second time i paddled with my arms because the steering does not work. So i address a broken part and it’s still not working. For this much money- why does it have so many issues?
I’m buying one of these this season for my bass fishing…I’ve been fishing out of an old Raddison for years and it’s just not working anymore…it’s a sail if there’s any wind whatsoever. I find myself paddling/maneuvering/avoiding 50-70% of the time instead of fishing. It’s just not built for serious bass fishermen. The thing I like about it is that it’s stupid light and rooftops with no effort…this seems like it fits the bill as an updated/modern replacement for that concept…especially when it comes to fishing.

I love my Hobi compass. I r7n my J2 PP-768 Bixpy, the 180 drive, k8ck up fins. Allot of Hibie PA accessories I've added. Especially the gear track rails and antew other electronics. Fir myself at 5ft 7 156 lbs, i can sight fush, stand and fish, and just started my earning fly fishing for tarpon, snook, and other finesse baits. 🛶 🎣 💯

on a $6000 kayak things like this should just come with it or a seat so good you don’t need it , i get you need to make money but ffs you are the the single most expensive brand , send it with the best parts
I come here to express my total disregard for the kayakers who own Hobie kayaks, as I have now contacted them and was informed that there will no longer be any Kayaks imported by the company. Looking at the comments here, everyone is talking about the kayaks and how they are going to let us down like this, without support or parts. You had an obligation to make an agreement with Hobie in the USA because the amount of kayaks you sold was much more than the sailboats that serve only one class of the Brazilian population that is most well-off. Hobie Brasil only became known for kayaks and not for sailboats here in Brazil. Here is my total indignation with Vestergaard Comercio de Artigos Esportivos, Ltda (trade name Hobie Brasil) what a disappointment. I hope that Pacheco who left that company gets representation so he can sell Hobie Kayaks. Thank you Vestergaard Comercio de Artigos Esportivos, Ltda for your disregard for all Kayakers in Brazil.

Love Hobie, but these suck when you are coming out of the water. I'm in the process of finding something easier to use. You have to tip it on its side to put them in. This means unloading your whole kayak, than putting it all back in and dragging it back to your vehicle. Its a pain. And I hate it.
