I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.

I bought a watch from MaMaCoo lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the #MaMaCoo's watch.we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake
Since you are talking about the market and your experience and giving numbers, can you explain what 1m in watch transactions is? are these retail sales or transactions between dealers? selling to other dealers (wholesaling)? What holds this market up while every other luxury market is down?
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the MAMACOO has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
JDM cars/sneakers are down. Give it time, watch will be the same. Of course the heavy hitters like AP PP probably still remain high or stable but average joe rolex wont cost much.
It's not dead but in a downward correction closer to retail and below prices for most previously hyped models and under retails, as always, for most other timepieces...
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
I think the challenger is this … Buying watches used to be a pure indulgence. Then ad prices went up, it became a quasi indulgence where once coils self justify (or tell the wife) that one could make a bit of money, sell and get money back or lose just a bit. It was fun and a bit of “gambling”. Now, many a amateur has been burned and they have run back home. These guys no longer buy. They are sitting watches that they don’t know what to do with. Until the market picks up on the broad sense, it will be no more fun for those not interested in watches but more in the fun of trading. A bit like those who bet of EPL soccer. They don’t play or even like the game. But they enjoy the betting. 🤝
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MAMACOO, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.

Let me share my view as a watch lover. Watch market is dead - obviously this is an exaggerated claim, I am sure people and collector still buy from time to time . What is really diff is the disappearance of short term speculators who are in it for profit . Once this element of “investment” is gone, the sales volume declines massively. Without them, rolex and friends will have their profits down. So the real question is how long will brand be playing the games with consumers and manufacturing all types of products that people do not want but force them to buy (through ADs) in order to get the desired models. So the best way for consumers is to stay outside of the game and buy only when there is a massive deal . If not , let the market goes further down. My best story for all is that I bought new stainless steel Daytona in 2015 at a discount in Singapore . It will return I can assume everyone .
@@Akj6zmdteuxze yeah agree I think the speculators need to exit and these AD will stop making people buy lousy watches just to clock spending. Hate the game
The general problem, imo, remains unchanged and that is calling it a market. It may be for dealers but not for the general customer. The whole madness started with people thinking of watches as an investment / asset class. They are luxury goods that hold their value relatively well with very few examples gaining value. There are no official exchanges, indexes and Charts are only provided by third party entities like IG pages or chrono24 and I am amazed people quote these as facts. This was a narrative driven by pandemic and social media hype. And in the end this will hurt the watch space as ADs and Brands have proven their inability to handle the hype they all aim for. Customer Service was abysmal, luxury was mostly experienced through the product and not the process.
This adolescent boy is foolish. He’s a dealer and yet trying to convince people that the market is “healthy” in the hopes of us buying watches from him. Joke!
@@lirahs7763 no need to be rude bro. If you disagree, just state why and that’s enough. I happen to agree with this video. It’s true … try to find a FPJ Elegante for example. I don’t have a dog in this race but selective demand is still strong from what I see. Personally, I find the biggest areas of risk is mass luxury. Rolex comes to mind. Both boring (IMHO) and common. The Paris Hilton effect of famous for being famous … and that fame hinges upon secondary market prices and the “brag value” of getting allocation. Little is about the watch itself. 🤝
I echo your sentiments. To add, I think many are being selective by turning to the Neo-vintage segment of collectible pieces. 1990-2010 Best of both worlds where low production and innovation was coupled with modern day manufacturing methods. 🤝
This watch is beautiful. I am surprised the designer overlooked the details of the GS emblem and the Grand Seiko name at the watch face - these would look better if raised instead of the laser engraving recess which looks subdued.
