Huge fan. I have a question that might seem a bit unusual: Is it possible to install a mid-mount turbo on a 350Z HR while keeping the catalytic converters? I currently have AAM Competition high-flow resonated cats on my car and would like to retain them. I'm thinking about a PTE 6266 turbo build and would prefer a mid-mount setup over front or rear mount. However, it seems the only way to keep the catalytic converters is with a rear-mount setup, which I’m not interested in. Would it be better to consider supercharging instead? Any advice would be appreciated.
Question: it sounds like exhaust is the first thing to do on the G 37. Do you need a tune to get any horsepower improvements just from the exhaust? When do you need to upgrade injectors or fuel pump… only for E85 or even for 93 octane tunes?
G37 owners… “I got 30 more horsepower!” N54 owners… “I got 100 more horsepower and 150 more feet pounds of torque!” It’s just crazy how turbocharged cars can increase horsepower so quickly. I will certainly admit that they seem to have issues more frequently though.
I want to go a rear mount turbo mainly for aesthetics. What would be the smallest turbo you’d recommend not looking to make anything more then 500? Just want something that spoils fast.
Rear mounts are probably the least aesthetically pleasing turbo kits and they sound the worst also. But for fast spool, a PTE 6266 or 6466 would be the best bet, and they can still make great power.
Shouldn’t stock hp be like 300 and change or is that because of the difference in crank hp and wheel hp ? *** Would a 2013 ex 37 Infiniti be the same application as this ***? Nice vid thanks ..
would this power level be achievable with a automatic transmission from ipt? also what would be the cost range of this build? and why hasnt the owner switched to a auto trans yet?
I have a 2016 sport tech with invidia gemini exhaust. I love the exhaust sound of gemini. I wonder if incould pair it with the other mods mentioned with similar results. The exhaust fitted to the car in video had a little more rasp than i like. The gemini sounds exotic. Im also wondering if the Z1 headers are responsible for the rasp
Hay I bought 1000cc injectors, I have catless test pipes and k and n drop in filters. When I threw in the 1000cc injectors the car did not like it at all and it struggles to start and I'm having misfires. Should I just buy the 1050x injectors or will I have the same issue?
@@admintuning I have a eckutek tune on hand but I haven begone rhe uploading process because others have changed injectors and there cars would still run. Mine just didn't like it at all. So for that reason I haven't done anything else
The power and torque curves are much worse after you diddled with this car. Yes, more power and torque at maximum, but WORSE midrange performance. Not worth the $$$.
lol you must have just come on here to make shit up. the car makes at a minimum of 20-25 more torque at literally every RPM and picks up over 30 more torque towards the top end of the powerband. there are no losses anywhere on the graph.
why do you have a bad rep among tuners? all I hear while researching for tunes is that your the king of blowing engines, I don't know where it stems from
