Craig started out at a young age playing the drums, singing, and writing songs. At age 21, he wrote the title track for an album dedicated to the Calgary 1988 Olympics. The song "Dream on the Horizon" was featured in a CBC documentary and received regular airplay on FM stations across Canada. Craig saw an opportunity to go further with his music, but instead chose to stick close to home. Amongst his many hobbies, which include video production, audio engineering, and of course music, Craig would carry on the family tradition of home brewing beer.
At age 20, Craig started experimenting with beer kits, and he's still at it. He has attracted literally thousands of followers, many of which claim that they would have never started home brewing if it weren't for Craig's videos. Craig also does a variety of other things on his RU-vid channel, including cooking shows, music performances, and philosophical talks, but the main theme of the channel is BEER.
I watched this vid the day it came out, I learned to brew because of you, and I just heard this song at a bar - funny how hearing this song reminds me of this video. Testament to you Craig. I miss your vids!
I started watching your videos back in 2010 or before I quite don't remember. But you were my mentor for a long time. You are a great teacher and good human bean. Blessing for you! I can get a hold of the cooper's beers can down here in Florida. I wish I could get my hands in some can back again.
For the record, liquid smoke is nasty. It's also extremely strong so if your going to use it, go very light. I would prefer to lay it out in my grill and use my smoke tube. No heat from the actual grill
Smiling! I sleep about 5 to 6 hours before I get up, 2am to 7am most days since my wife died 3 months ago. Our 2 dogs must be put in the cage and locked in every night, or they bark at you till you come do it. Wife always got up went to bed before me and got up to let them out, but that's my job now. Most the time I take an hour or so nap sometime during the day to help make up for it. Some days I hit the wall and have to crash for a couple hours. I have never been able to sleep good for some reason. Guess I got unsubscribed years ago. Kind of lost interest and just now thinking about making some wine. So, while watching videos on that, I thought what ever happened to Craig. So looked you up, and here you are still. Smile!
One of my top 10 RU-vids. I have 4 or 5 versions by various artists (including Meatloaf's). Julian Austin just got knocked off my #1 favourite list by this guy. Fabulous rendition!
Memories... This is the video that made me purchase my first Condenser Mic ever. The MXL 990. I since upgraded but I'm still amazed by this cover to this day.
Is it possible to pickle large sized vidalia onions? I only ask cuase as a kid I remember having them. I used to live in Maryland but moved to South Carolina. I haven't been able to find a couple things, but one that I do remember having was pickled onions. Now I'm not sure if it was because I was a kid, but I remember them being larger then those, so I was wondering if it's possible to pickle large ones also.
Leave my house 3:30 am/pm home 8:30pm/am (rotating schedule nights and days) when I get home I wanna spend time with the family and next thing I know it's 9:30 or later so I head to bed where I lay until 10:30 or later, get up at 3 and go again, when I drink (which is often) after just 3 or 4 beers I will sleep solid form 2 1/2 to 3 hours then it's never ending tossing and turning when I don't drink I wake up 4 to 6 hours and can't sleep anymore now thats on days off of course because I never get more than 4 1/2 hours of sleep while working.
I've made it pretty routine to wait untill the next day to pitch yeast and haven't ever had an issue. I just like watching your videos no matter how easy.
Hiya Craig nice to see a new one out long overdue been watching you since 2006 my names Roger from the UK. I'm 60 in four month and been makeing beer kits from the age of eight jordie beer and coopers mmmm. My dad's uncle got me hooked, ha ha the old boy. I enjoyed the latest one on sleep, a great deal I can relate to. Being a shift worker getting home late a nd opening that much rewarded brew. So keep your pecker up as there are always new interesting topics in life keep up the good work ill be watching Roger from the uk
Best song ever about the Olympics (with lyrics). Best orchestral (non-vocal) piece, of course, is John Williams' theme from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
Thanks for the video Craig. Great topic. I look after myself for sleep. I don't overdo things much. I think about tomorrow and how I want feel when I wake up. I'm 51 now and can't live like I have in the past. The body tells you no. I stopped brewing a few years ago. Too much temptation. I get better sleep because I moderate myself. Won't go over 4 beers on a night. In bed by a sensible time. Works for me, mate. Take care Craig marra. Marra where I come from means my friend👍
Trazadone, it is a great sleep aid, is not addictive, and you don’t feel groggy the next morning. You might the first few days but after that, you are golden
