Fellow sent me a bunch of beers to enjoy, so I'm going to review them, and talk about my dream of being a radio DJ. Shirts: tgtshirts.com My live show: vaughn.live
Showing my age now...the old 50kw clear channel radio stations were the shits! I grew up with a crystal radio I built with my brother from plans in Popular Electronics. Listening to The Grand Old Opry on WWVA Saturday night was the best. KDKA, WOR, the list is endless. I then graduated to a Heath kit shortwave and that opened the world....Radio Free America, the CBC, the BBC, the Radios Japan, Moscow, Cuba, etc during the cold war days were exceptional. I loved HCJB from Chile. Shining times. I had a wall full of QSL cards from around the world. Thank you for evoking these memories!
It is awesome to see someone (like you Craig) following their passions instilled since childhood. I am fortunate to be old enough to remember what radio used to be like. My dad used to listen to the "Oldies, But Goodies" music and his favorite DJ, raspy-voice Wolfman Jack. I love your radio show and the group of awesome people in the chatroom. Also, thanks for playing my requested song; my wife was a happy camper to hear our song! On the beer front, I got the "itch" watching your videos about homebrewing. I finally got a new hobby, which I enjoy thoroughly, and it's all because of you! (I brewed my first batched 2 weeks ago and now it's bottled. See how it turns out in 2-3 weeks). Thanks for all the stuff you do behind the scenes and keep us entertained! Keep up the good work!
Hi Craig, just came across this video and I really like the realistic way that you go about your brewing methods and also your honest op[nion on the beers that you brew, I'm new to brewing beer in kit form and hope to gain some tips from you, I hope that I can brew beer as good and as easy as you make it look, thanks for the the step by step instructions, I hope to brew beer as well as you.
Your channel just showed up on my RU-vid feed today (my 57th birthday)! Great story and beer review. I always wanted to be a DJ when I was a kid. I have broadcasted on Stickam and Live365 in the past and Periscope recently. I’m using Happs now since Twitter is closing Periscope at the end of March. I was going to try Vaughn. I will check your channel out and I’ll subscribe to this one. Thanks for the birthday gift!
Craig seems like everything is going well in Canada. I also watched your recent video and was looking for the clip you posted. I know as a RU-vid content creator also at times there are things we post that people do not like. I do not believe in removing the video I think you should promote it even harder because it is what you believe in and this is your channel. All the best to you and keep doing what you are passionate about my friend. Take care and keep on brewing!
If you're really into hoppy beer; have you ever tried Flying Monkeys Atomic Smashbomb IPA? It's like 70 IBUs I think and pretty intense! It's right up there with Boneshaker, another hoppy beer I enjoy. Cheers!
Sounds like the peach flavor beer is a good one. I enjoy your Friday night casts good music and good people.. It's awesome that you are doing what you are passionate about.. 🍻 Cheers!
i remember staying up late and listening to the mexican radio stations on the AM side. now i live in Montana, and we got some far off signals. sometimes if i was lucky i'd get to listen to someone telling horror stories. or sometimes just a story. it was great. great vids Craig. keep em coming. 17
I cant drink beer but i love how your videos havent advanced in 9 years since some of your first 🎥. Its fine i prefer that it feels like old youtube. Fun man like a trip in time for me. Got a gluten allergy and wheat let me know if come across a bear that is truly gluten free 0 wheat in general
Great video as usual Craig. May I send you a beer that I made? I've been watching, listening to you for ten years or so. You got me into brewing. I have your T-shirts, and I'm mkfn59 in your Friday Vaughn show. Cheers, Mark in Colorado.
Hey craig another great video, I’ve recently started making my own home brew videos also. Cheers 🍺 Would love it if you started your HBW videos again love more content from you dude
Well I been pouring 30 beers for 30 years. The real trick is to find the hops that resemble fruits. Adding real fruit is no crime. However it is a bit lazy. I mean after all it is water, grain, hops and yeast. You should have a shirt that hangs and resembles the old bum shirt for those of us that need a comforter to wear.
Hi Craig from over the pond in the uk ,another great video and just to say that your a very talented man.so you say 17 which you say it means cheers but can someone please tell me the story behind it please.👍
Yes but my show is 6 hours long, so you might be able to catch the last couple of hours. Couple friends from Norway often pop in while having their morning coffee.
Yes I am. It was once said, "The night is the most peaceful time, why sleep through it?" Lots of people are night owls. If I was a truck driver, I would drive at night and sleep during the day.
