@@JB360_NYC that’s what I was thinkin about cuttin a piece. 140 not that bad. I might just have to jump on it after fronting on it lol. U got it looking gooooooood.
I have a general question about BMS. Let's say i have the following: BAC 855 which is 70a/90a nominal/peak 72 50AH 20s10p Battery pack using Samsung 50s cells rated at 25s continuous / 45a peak. So total battery pack output capable of 250a continuous/450a peak When choosing a BMS, should i be concerned with it outputing the 70/90a the controller uses? Or is it ok to use a bigger BMS that does 250/450a even though the controller only uses 70/90a?
So since your controller is only capable of outputting 70/90 dc amps, your 250a continuous current on you battery is way more than enough to handle the controller. You can even possibly go up to a BAC 4k or 8k since your battery maxes out at 450.
@JB360_NYC I don't need to dial back or get a BMS that's closer to the 70/90 though? Like the controller is smart enough to not accidentally draw too much from the battery?
Hi JB Loving your work on these builds man. I'm presently looking for an ebattery for my cube nature hardtail mtb, but would like ability to check battery health..so does battery need Bluetooth included for this capability..or can i check battery condition another way without Bluetooth? Many Thanks Nick from across the pond in uk 😉👍
You can always install a volt meter display whenever you get your new battery. Connects directly to the terminals on your battery. A lot of people find it easier to follow the voltage levels anyways.
@JB360_NYC Thanks so much for this alternative suggestion JB...Looking forward to more of your new ebike builds especially the more powerful one's like this one...Your a very talented man JB 👍
Nice , I just tested my footscooter I made . It went about that range . Its 7000watt hrs 24s 16p 40kw .. it started with 91% batteries, and now at 85% plus a few 0-40 mph in 3 sec . Runs That's not even in sports mode.
Is looking BEAST bro!!! JB ill suggest if you didn't do it already, to do a little paint touch up on swing arm where you cut to prevent rust... CANT WAIT FOR PART II!!!! 💪💪💯🤩🥰😍👍👍
@@jaybones614 yup! Electro and Co has kits but they're the only domestic company doing it atm. Glad Sotion tech is going direct to the community with their swingarms and kits.
