*We've been traveling full-time (owning no home or property) since February 21, 2014. *Our goal is to drive around the world, visiting all 6 habitable continents. *We expect the journey to take 10-15 years. *Our family mission statement is: Love. Explore. Study. Share. (LESS)
Our family mission is to: * Love the people we meet all around the globe. * Explore this vast and beautiful world we all have to share. * Study the culture, history, and daily life of the areas we visit. * Share what we've experienced with others.
Our hope is to inspire, empower, and encourage others with similar passions that this lifestyle is indeed possible.
Join us on our journey and get to know us. We release a new video every other Sunday (sometimes every Sunday if we get ambitious).
We've met many of you in person and hope to meet many more of you on our adventure around the world.
Eric + Brittany + Caspian | Hourless Life Love. Explore. Study. Share.
It is so wonderful watching Caspian grow up. He is so aware and interested in so many things that he gets to experience when visiting museums, and socializing with many of your friends and others along the way, He is turning in to a smart and caring young person because of the many experiences you share with him in your lifestyle. I look forward to seeing much more in the videos to come. Thanks for sharing this with us.
We miss you guys already so much. Thanks for letting us invade your home Ari. Love to the family and hope you enjoyed the video! Love you sweet girl. ~ Daddy
Would it be insane to drive from Minnesota to Cancun in a Tesla? There are enough quality chargers that are mainly Tesla Superchargers so I believe that it's along paid (quality) roads. There are a few slow chargers that I'd have to use once I get to the Yucatán Península so that last stretch will take a couple of days. Normally I'd just sleep on a bed in the back in Camp Mode but for safety I'd likely stick to hotels in Mexico. Most people say this would be extremely dangerous but I'd really enjoy it if I could do it safely.
Honestly Joseph, I think it would be EPIC! I don't know who these "most people" are that say it is so crazy dangerous, maybe ask them for their first hand experience. There are some who have had bad actors impact them, but then there are tons of others (the vast majority) who haven't had anything negative happen. You know, kind of like the USA. Did you know that there were more car jackings in the CITY of Chicago than there were the entire STATE of Veracruz? Yep. Fact check it. Our counsel is do your due diligence, follow the "rules" that I've shared in this video, and don't listen to the fearmongers, instead ask folks who have recently been where you want to go. There is a great group on Facebook called "On the Road in Mexico" check it out and remember to only ask those who have RECENTLY been. As in not even us at this point. Things change and you want the latest info when you are heading into an area. All the best, and carpe diem. ~ Eric
I have taken the ferry with family to the SF giants games as it docks right next to the stadium and picks us up after the game…the best way to go to the baseball game.
That sounds like a perfect way to go to the game. Guessing the ferry gets pretty packed with fans, must be an awesome experience. I love going to live MLB games. One of the things I miss being on the global journey. ~ Eric
Eric, thanks for your “Grace upon Grace” response!!!! I need and needed grace. Thanks so much for your kindness. I deleted my comments as they were not appropriate. Thanks for accepting my apologies…. All the Best and safe travels!!!
We all need a bit of Grace in our lives. No worries at all. Appreciate your heart and hope you continue to get to know us and enjoy the channel. You are always welcome here! ~ Eric
It seems that all your time with family and friends has been the best while in the US this time - and you've made the best of it since you may not be back again for awhile. All these will be moments to cherish for Caspian and he grows up. I have not camped in the Mt. Madonna redwood area - looks like a place i need to explore. The amusement park in Gilroy looked very fun also.
Haila it was truly blessed and I was completely shocked when Brittany and Ari set up that surprise for my birthday. We too will cherish these moments. Again proof positive, that our channel is not about posting things we think will get the most views, but rather sharing our life transparently and being able to look back on this ourselves. Appreciate you as always. Definitely check out Mt Madonna and Gilroy Gardens. Such a fun area to visit. ~ Eric
Honestly great! No issues yet. We'll be sure to post if that changes. But we've had the rig on highway speeds through the Atacama Desert of northern Chile for extended periods of time with no issues. We've made it all the way to Argentina now, and still holding strong. ~ Eric
Hey I really appreciate that. But we are driving around the world. Our rig is currently in Argentina. So it may be just a wee bit before we are back east of the Mississippi. But appreciate the invite. ~ Eric
He's parked in Mendoza, Argentina. We're heading back to him on July 10th. We own two Jeeps. GUARDIAN which we keep in the States, and DAUNTLESS which is our global overland rig. ~ Eric
Awesome video as always Eric, Britney and Caspian. This was an epic adventure it’s always so fun to visit family and friends but it’s always sad to say goodbye to them and it’s so sad to see all these amazing places closed because people don’t trade lightly. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures
Hi Christopher! Sorry we've been so delayed. We just published our next video and I'm just getting to the comments. Always appreciate your encouragement. It is hard to say goodbye and I too wish folks would care for our trails better for future generations. All we can do is lead by example, spread the word to take care of things, participate in clean ups when we can, and leave places better than we found them when we're by ourselves. ~ Eric
Nice clean setup, I wonder if you notice any extra noise while driving having the air flow under and over the pannels, compared to the old flexible pannels glued to Alu Cab top, especially driving highway speeds
Great question. Not at all. The only thing we notice is a bit of added height which in Latin America can make a difference as to where we're able to park. But no issues so far, and we hit highway speeds for most of northern Chile through the Atacama Desert. We're all the way down to Argentina now, still with no issues and the panels are kicking off serious energy. Been super happy with them. ~ Eric
I've only driven through Arizona with a couple of short stops at Flagstaff but I loved what I saw and this video is only increasing my desire to go back. Great to see you with family and reconnecting. :)
Thanks Mitch! Arizona is my favorite state in the USA for camping and the overland lifestyle. Definitely recommend you make it a point to spend some extended time there! ~ Eric
I can't say I agree with this at all, and it is this type of discourse that attempts to dissuade people from living a life of adventure and cower in a life of fear. We've spent an EXTENSIVE time driving through Mexico, and we've had great experiences throughout the country. Sure there are true tales of bad things happening, but that happens all over the world. Did you know there are more carjackings in the city of Chicago than there are in the entire state of Veracruz Mexico? It's true. Look it up. But people go into cities like Chicago all the time without thinking twice. I think the uncertainty of another country combined with fearmongering gives Mexico a very bad reputation that is overwhelmingly undeserved. ~ Eric
Awesome video as always Hourless Life. Overland Expo is always so epic and spending time with family is always so much fun and walking down memory lane is so much fun as well.
Our next video just went live. In the next one we really introduce you to our family and friends. Also we see a UFO so there's that. Haha. Glad you continue to enjoy the journey with us! ~ Eric
Really appreciate that Antonio. Glad you enjoyed this one, and as always feel free to hit us with any questions. We do our best to respond to every comment made on our channel. ~ Eric
There are so few companies that we aren't currently working with that we'd love to have support from on our global journey, and we picked one up just as we were leaving. Super thankful. We'll announce hopefully soon! ~ Eric
Mama B’s has the best burgers in Flagstaff. When I went to Flagstaff High School (right across the street) it used to be called Miss Brown’s Burger Bar. It was epic then as it is now. Great content as always. Looking forward to the next time you guys come to Expo. As always, safe travels and keep up the great videos.
Wow Ross, that's old school! Glad you enjoyed the video. We hope to be back for the 2026 Overland Expo West. We try and be back for every even year to update on our global journey. ~ Eric
👍👍👍 Fun fun fun...that's what this video seemed to show. A few "bloops" along the way. Such are the scwabbles of family life. I'm so glad you are having a great time while here in the US and sharing it all with us. It was nice to get a glimpse of what Overland Expo was like (wow 30,000 people). This just lets us know how many people really WANT this alternative life style. I need to visit MOAB again and try Onion Creek (as far as our RV would go). I got my Global Entry (surprised you had not done this before) and TSA back in 2012 (I believe, could have been earlier because I travel to see my brother in Hawaii a lot) for a trip to Italy. It is SO MUCH faster, especially when we return from Europe (since Covid I've only traveled to Hawaii). I'm looking forward to your family reunions. Stay safe and have great travels. Funny - Caspian got excited for a moment when he thought you were traveling 1st class again.
Haila, Moab is one of our happy places in the USA. Definitely worth going back to! Overland Expo is where we re-connect with our friends from around the world, and family is everything. So glad you enjoyed this video. ~ Eric
Awesome video as always Eric, Britney and Caspian. Overland Expos are such an awesome and epic event. Eric are you going to mount the starlink dish on the top of y’all’s Alu-Cab on Dauntless or just put it on it’s stand and stand it on the hood or the ground in front of Dauntless? Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s journey around the world. 🌎
Hey Christopher. So we have the Gen 3 dish. Assuming we can get it back to Argentina with us without issues, we don't plan immediately on mounting it, but having it where we can deploy it to wherever we like at camp. Glad you are enjoying the journey with us! ~ Eric
Hi David! Sure that is the VSS (Vehicle Solar System) panel by Cascadia 4x4. They make them for various makes and models. www.cascadia4x4.com/ Thanks for watching the video and let me know if you have any further questions. ~ Eric
Somehow, spending around $55 for a scrubba bag isn’t very cost effective. Most of us don’t get free samples from the manufacturer. My camping isn’t glamping & don’t want, nor can I afford tents & kitchen items costing $400-$800 & dry bags for over $55 each. My camp clothing is for camping & easy to wash & most dry in a few hours or overnight.
Hey this is Eric, and I'd have to disagree with you, circumstances dependent. As full-timers (and for those who don't full-time but travel overland for long periods of time) investing in a Scrubba Bag is actually a great investment compared to the cost of doing a coin-op laundry over an extended period of time. We'd be easily at less than a nickel a wash with our Scrubba. Brittany tells me even less. At the end of the day it is personal preference and what works for you. We use it nearly daily on our journey and it has held up and been a great piece of kit for us. Remember, that we don't have a home to go back to with a washer. All the best. ~ Eric
Man I wish I could have seen you guys. I was at Expo but couldn't link up. Enjoy your time as you drove basically by my area when you traveled to Moab.
@@HourlessLife no worries we will meet at some point. I know how hectic it is. When I was in Arizona a lot of friends were like we have to meet up and sometimes that's just not possible. Safe travels and looking forward to following you guys on your adventures
Just found you guys and very impressed! Subscribed instantly 😊We are planning on doing the same thing but with a converted school bus. If you have any time would love to chat and get your input. Safe travels!! I’m off to watch another episode 😊❤️

Hey Whitley! So if all goes well, we will be in California near the beginning of June. We'll be in Los Banos, Gilroy, and Alameda before we head back to Denver to fly to Argentina. ~ Eric
Being that we use it every day under the harshest conditions, I will tell you that I swear by the work Goose Gear does. It is far more than a sheet of plywood. There are exacting measurements per platform that make the most of the usable space for the particular vehicle, and their proprietary lining which isn't just standard linex. We have been really hard on our stuff living in DAUNTLESS full-time now (with a kid) all the way down in Argentina and the Goose Gear has held up like new. Having said that, it is pricey and I've seen a lot of people do a budget version of it DIY. Having said that, I'm personally glad we went with it and have zero regrets. ~ Eric
Hey Alan, so I'm just getting caught up on comments. We responded to your message while we were at Expo letting you know where we'd be. Hopefully your phone was working there with all the crowds I know signal was spotty for everyone! ~ Eric
