Im sick and tired of residents complaining about and trying their utmost to reduce and remove manhole entries to ceiling spaces, especially ceilings that are beneath concrete floors.
Excellent post. Very well explained and in great detail. Simple solution to borrowed neutral issue on stairs lights when RCBO board is installed. Like the rock roses for the down lights.
When you don’t have one in your truck, this is a great option to consider. It’s usually those “little” things that turn a simple job into a pain in the ass…
No it’s just a bare copper core that runs through the cable with the line and neutral. Assuming this is in the UK, companies are rolling out a pre sleeved earth in twin and earth cabling.
It is probably better to get a special tip which is threaded these exist for heat set inserts because it is how they are putting in. You may have to have a mains powered soldering iron to allow the tip to be bought for it but it would definitely be easier.
Unfortunately, you managed to miss out the one vital piece of information which I needed: how do you manage to get the pistons to retract back into the caliper ? They don't appear to just push in, so do they have to be turned a certain way ?

I wonder if you realise, Chris, what a bit of a gay icon you've become among us gay men who watch your videos. Some of us electricians, and some of us not. Yes, there are gay electricians out there! You're just so damned cute, and the way you often say 'he', instead of 'this', in your regional accent is so endearing. Best Regards from Peter.
