What's not to love about the Ba. Looks like you had a great run down over there, you should take a look at our trip over there and you'll see a different side to it. Bloody campervans with people driving them that don't realise they've got the turning circle of a BP supertanker! Amazing how quick the weather can change up there too. It's gotta be one of the best views in the world though from the top of the hairpins. Looking forward to the next one
Thanks for your comment - Yes, we were pleasantly surprised how we got away from the mist that followed us up and enjoyed the brilliant views on the descent. Ireland looming in the next few months followed by Spain & France later 👍
Ahhhh, did someone mention the rain in Scotland😁😁 Even in the rain it's a great place to ride, as you said it's stunning. Those campervans are a nightmare, we met loads up and over the Bealach na Ba. Lovely route following the coastline, but it does rack the miles up. Enjoying watching these, bringing back lots of memories, cheers
Nice video, brought back memories of our trip up there and around the UK. We were due to stay at the Invershin Hotel and Bunkhouse but it was right when Covid struck. Was it alright? When wee finally got to do the trip, we did a different route so stayed elsewhere. Scotland is always a great trip, if you count on having rain the majority of the time, you won't be too disappointed. If it's dry/sunny, you've had a result. Stay safe boys PS: Love the dancing at Haggs 🤣🤣
Thanks for your comment - Haggs was ok, we got there quite late so didn’t spend too much time in the bar but they served a cracking brekkie next morning. Yes - Mikey wanted his intercom set up more for music rather than conversation i think….
Great series of videos 👍😀. I did the NC500 with a couple of pals a month after you by the looks of it (early Sept’23). We were very lucky as the rain gear stayed in the top box for the whole tour! You enjoyed a lot of the wet stuff by the looks of it. Great vids and thanks for posting 👍
Cheers Gavin - yes, we were there over the Summer Bank Holiday and the weather wasn’t brilliant. We didn’t really get drenched it was constant showers rather than prolonged ‘in for the day’ stuff so you’re constantly putting on and taking off 🙂 Fantastic trip though….
Hi mate - Yes i did ponder on the choice of music but the sound recording is too much wind noise as the camera is elevated and not enough engine. i do need to consider having a 2nd camera mounted lower down which will pick up the engine sound as well as giving a different perspective.
Carriers Inn used to be a regular when in Delamere as I live fairly local and, A49 always a favourite run, last on the A82 in September and it’s calling me back although think it will be in the car this time of the year, great visual reminder to get back up there as soon as I can again thanks for that
Looks like a awesome trip and its nice to see a cruiser doing the trip i have seen loads of people doing the NC500 but no one on a cruiser i will be doing it next year and wild camping on my VN900 great video
Thanks Kevin, it was an amazing adventure - stunning scenery on fantastic roads. Tony did well on his Harley although he did suffer a bit during the showery moments. We didn't camp but stayed at Hostels which were quite budget friendly. Good luck next year on your trip.
Nice part of the world. I live west-central Scotland, 25 mins from Loch Lomond, and 30 mins from the coast. It's brilliant for biking, generally decent roads and nice locations. Enjoyed your video, good to see some nice sensible riding, the west coast part is my favourite, much more rugged and stunning. New subscriber 😊
Thanks for your comment - Yes, brilliant biking trip. We have been known to rip it up in the past but as we are now of a certain vintage we are more conscious that it shouldn't always be a race and to savour the moments more. We did the anti clockwise route and the north / west coast was amazing - would love to do it again 👍
Thanks Nigel - Yes, amazing tour. It's the Insta 360 X3. Simplicity itself to use whilst on the bike but a bit tricky processing the footage (Practise makes perfect)
Thanks mate - we have similar landscape and scenery here in Wales but certainly not on this scale. After several rugby trips to Edinburgh it was my first time out in the sticks and it was fantastic...
