Had that Starburst record. KTel was a popular label in the early 80’s. I believe you could order from tv commercials. Pretty cool soon as I saw the cover….
I just want everyone to understand that these grand homes are abandoned and destroyed because the wealthy who built them abandoned them and left them to be destroyed. Wealth creates greed. Greed creates boredom. and they live in these homes for a decade at most, and then just move onto the next city..
From my understanding the place was/is toxic. They tried to hide the fact many residents and surrounding areas were and are still getting sick. They have tried to cover this up. But if you dig far and wide you’ll find something on it. I believe some of the residence settled out of court. I think the history channel is a something on this town.
That's a really nice house! It's in really great shape, considering that it hasn't been maintained in a long time. The reason that there are numbers on the doors, is because during WWII, a lot of the big mansions were turned into apartment buildings. I'd also bet that after WWII, this one in particular was turned into a Nursing Home... Which would explain the heavily screened door on that room in the attic. The room probably housed a person that suffered from Dementia and the door was meant to keep them safely inside. Although now we know that that's not a great way of doing things. The "help" that you heard when reviewing the footage could have very certainly been a residual spirit crying out. Anyhow... That really is a beautiful old home and it deserves some TLC... It'd make wonderful place to live. By the way... The Underwood typewriter was "THEE" typewriter to own, back in the day.
That building will take between 5-10 million to completely gut and rebuild it no developer wants to do that, they would raze it first but it's solid compared to today's cardboard built boxes.
Forward to 2024, I wonder if this house has been renovated or not, looking at this from the video it’s going to take way more than $100,000 to renovate this place, way more. Quite a task if it ever gets done.
Sorry but it's a huge disregard for these people when a 23 year old kid goes into these houses hoping to get "views", yet he can't even pronounce the name of the town correctly.

Don't care I would move a bunch of that stuff somewhere else where it won't get damaged, then call the owner (or whoever owns the merch) and tell them the situation. If there is no longer any owner of that merchandise I'm taking it all out and see if I can salvage any of it and sell it to the public who would love to take it home.
Did you know there was a other company in there after Atlantic? It was a much smaller operation. So, many things seem to be left by the second company. I watched this with someone who worked for Atlantic Foundry.
