SMOKEY IS BACK! 

I like Stubb's your Dad has put some great work in on that beast. Personally I would probably have put K2's cab on Smokeys chassis but thats just me!!

Stubb is the KING OF ALL TRUCKS AT POP'S ville. . . The actor who play your dad has put his heart into Stubb and for that reason you should focus on Stubb and only Stubb.

Impressed mike you did a great job at bring smokey back in good shape and figuring it all out with no professional body shop doing it for you and then taking credit for like some other RU-vidrs do lol

I’ve been loving stubby work. The only trucks I think important are, Kenny, low and slow, stubby and then Smokey. 👍 either way I’m happy to watch what ever you do Mike. 😊

Great progress Mike , i agree finish what you need as to be able to get primer on it to move in & out of shop, then tackle the motor , leave actual paint until last , as with all the projects "" one step/ day at a time as funds 💲💲 allow "" remember its s hobbie , dont burn yourself out on it and get discouraged, Stubs os looking Great also , Kuddos to you and your Dad for savin the old iron 👍👍👍👍

I ❤Stubby .... Tip , go over the entire inside of Smokey w/ a household steam cleaner , it will help cut alot of the smoke & soot .. it will also get in all the nooks & crannies

Hi Mike, You probably already know this but cabover Kenworths are as common as dirt over here in Australia, without knowing the exact model I looked up the cab air bag and there was lots for sale so very likely you will find parts in Australia. Good luck with your build.

I wouldn't install those cab extender brackets just yet mike, I would clean them up, prime them out, and then repaint them.

Hey Mike I wouldn’t worry about all the trucks you have they don’t make them anymore once there gone there gone all you need is a shed to put them out of the elements poles and a top and do one at a time and you’ll be fine . Love the Chanel want to see more of Jim I really like his approach to things you think way to much he dives right in lol

Mike, in BC does stubby need the beacon? In Ohio we don’t need them. Would give it a cleaner look. Keep on trucking!

I think if you decide not to sell Kenny 2, you should put him in the shop now that you got some room since duke is gone. If stubby is driving, he can be parked outside unless you need to do something. Maybe if Kenny 2 is in the garage, might give you some motivation to work on him

Mike you and your dad be very careful man working around that heavy equipment like that it's easy to fall hurt yourself and everything especially your dad.

Make a few mistakes? We learn, or at least we should learn, from our mistakes.

Plus if you are going to replace one cab air bag you should replace both.

If it were me and its not but you opened the door with that said here goes. I'd sell K2 put the conventional Pete build on hold put your time, money, efforts into Low & Slow and Smokey. It won't take a lot to get Low & Slow really nice. Depending on condition of Smokeys engine I'll bet it's a 11.1 not a 12.7 no problem the 11.1 is perfect for what you're doing and makes reliable HP up to 400 maybe more but costly. A 12.7 would be great but big bucks not days. They used to be reasonable, not now. Smokey along with some parts from K2 could be very nice and a reliable truck. Just my .02 and I'm sure you have thought of every angle

Hi Mike it’s gaining ground. Between your dad and yourself it’s getting done. I myself think K-2 is gonna end up getting a cut off tho so makes more sense to work on Smokey. Get him done then decide what to tackle next. Boy your dad is a great guy sharp smart hard working guy. Tell him hi for me.

Why do you insist on doing it the hard way?

Mike, how hard is it to do a cab swap? With the time you spent patching fiberglass and sheet metal, wouldn't it have been better to swap k2 cab and Smokey frame? And junked the old frame along with Smokey cab? You have proven that the impossible can be done. You're not working smarter.
