my guy you reading too much into it like the whole corporate shit😭. you just need to stop watching broadcasts and that’s it they are made more for performance cause they are for promotions. if you want actual live performances then just look them up especially kiss of life cause they have so many and they are known for singing live. the whole like her hair being in her face makes it look more realistic was so 😭😭
the biggest kpop groups of all time are bts and blackpink and they still are. also this is coming from someone that is latin, our music isn’t even yet considered at par with americans and it’s never going to happen. it’s always going to be excluded unfortunately and i don’t mean it because it’s not big but i feel like america sometimes tends to forget that they aren’t the only ones
buddy im telling you, kpop is not rlly all that genuine. if u want that u should go back to first and second generation kpop when they actually sang live and danced. rn the only ones that sing live regularly are Ateez, Nmixx, Mamamoo and?? soloist Hyolyn?? thats ab it maybe. from back when you had bangggggg asss groups like 2NE1 which rlly had the concert formula down. BUT PLS STOP WATCHING MUSIC SHOW PERFORMANCES AND COMPLAINING AB IT FEELING WEAK, THEY SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT BRUH. its just the camera, there is an audience but just to watch the idol perform for the camera, like basically look at them working. if u actually want (possibly) live performances u should look up award shows, festivals, events performances. but ngl even then its hard to find something fully live. its just different there in korea unfortunately.
u could compare those live performances to performances on shows like SNL or something. its for the camera, not for the audience there. but even then that performance was kinda weak. but honestly theyre not even a year old and have an average age of 16 so i guess it makes sense. i am heavily convinced most idol “rappers” should just not be rapping lol
i think something you misinterpreted is that the kpop live performances that you are watching are not for an audience they're for TV! in Korea theres these music shows that groups go to to promote the song, what you're looking for is concert performances you should look those up instead when wanting to watch live performances.
I've watched your omegle videos (which were pretty funny lol) so im sure you have a lot more content in mind than reaction videos, but if you want to branch out more into other music to react to I'd definitely recommend Jungle's Back On 74 or any of their other music videos, they have a lot of great choreographies. I'd also recommend Sabrina Carpenter's recent videos like Espresso or Please Please Please, and pretty much any of Tinashe's work. Also, I recommend ma:nyo skin care, although it's only an online shop
the problem is you're watching music show performances, they're mainly for promotions and that's why they feel corporate. if you want real performances you should look for concerts and festivals, if you want raw vocals you should look either for their lives or for shows like lee mujin's
My favorite RV songs are Feel My Rhythm, Wildside, Psycho (is what introduced me to the group), Chill Kill, In My Dreams, Underwater, and you already reacted to three of their songs, so there is no point in recommending them.
for the lipsync during performances, it really depends on the company as far as i know jyp groups always sing live (like stray kids, itzy, nmixx, day6), sm doesn't allow it for some so the groups are most of the time lip syncing, hybe uses heavy backtrack etc.. groups from smaller companies usually sing live too (stayc, even kiss of life i've seen a lot of videos from them). like it's difficult to put them all into one box cause every company has different standards and rules ☝️
I know you said you wanted to lighten up on how many KPOP reactions that you're doing which is completely understandable, but I still wanted to throw some straws into the hat for possible reactions. You mentioned wanting to check out more of Kiss of Life's music, so I thought it would be a disservice to not explicitly mention Nobody Knows, and Sugarcoat (NATTY Solo). Now, each member of Kiss of Life has their own individual songs, but based off of what you've discussed in previous videos regarding your music taste, I feel like Sugarcoat specifically would be right up your alley. It reminds me pretty intensely of old school R&B-Pop fusion and is such a nice vibe. Nobody Knows follows a similar formula but with all of the members of the group, so it's definitely worth a listen!
Kiss Of Life is a 4 member girl group made up of trainees from the big 3 entertainment agencies in Korea, Julie is the main rapper, she’s Korean-American from Hawaii and she was an ex-trainee from YG the black label (aka the company that made Blackpink) Natty is the main dancer. She’s Thai and an ex trainee JYP entertainment, she took part in a survival show SIXTEEN, which was the show that made Twice. But she was eliminated during the 11th episode and didn’t end up debuting as a part of Twice. Belle is the main vocalist, she has an incredible range (E3 to F5) and this is her whistle note at 7:37 and at 7:53, she’s Korean-American from Seattle, she was an ex-trainee for SM entertainment, she worked with other groups in making songs, she wrote unforgiven by LE SSERAFIM other songs for Miyeon and Purple Kiss, she also writes some of her own groups songs. Haneul is the lead vocalist and is the last member and the maknae ( youngest member), she was the only member to actually audition for the group! She was handpicked by the older members to join Kiss Of Life. They all have their solo songs, Sugarcoat by Natty is my personal favourite, Countdown by Belle, Play love games by Haneul and Kitty Cat by Julie. You should check out their other songs like Nobody knows, Bad News, Midas Touch and their new single Sticky!!
I know you have tons of recommendations but I recommend you listen to MiSaMo, these are 3 of the members from twice and they are the Japanese line some songs you should listen to is marshmallow or do not touch or if you wanna listen to twice as the group I recommend cry for me, fancy, feel special or dance the night away
